ফরিদপুরের নগরকান্দায় সেবা ফাউন্ডেশন ও কোয়ালিটি টিভি বাংলার (কিউ টিভি বাংলা) উদ্যোগে বজ্রপাত প্রতিরোধক তাল গাছের চারা রোপন করা হয়েছে।৩০ আগষ্ট সোমবার বিকালে সেবা ফাউন্ডেশনের পরিচালক সাংবাদিক শফিকুল ইসলাম মন্টু ও কোয়ালিটি টিভি বাংলার ফরিদপুর প্রতিনিধি শফিকুল খান জনির সার্বিক ব্যবস্থাপনায় তালের চারা রোপণ কর্মসূচির শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন, নগরকান্দা উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা ইউএনও জেতি প্রু।
এসময় অতিথিদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, নগরকান্দা উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান মনিরুজ্জামান সরদার, সিনিয়র সহকারী পুলিশ সুপার সুমীনুর রহমান, থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ সেলিম রেজা বিপ্লব, দৈনিক খোলাচোখ সম্পাদক মাহবুব আহাদ, উপজেলা মৎস্য কর্মকর্তা শেখ তানভির আখতার, উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক জাহিদুর রহমান সুইট, পৌর কাউন্সিলর জাকির হোসেন জাকারিয়া, নাছির মাহমুদ, সাংবাদিক শওকত আলী শরিফ, বেলায়েত হোসেন লিটন, রেজাউল করিম সেলিম, নিজাম নকিব, শহিদুল ইসলাম, মুইদুল ইসলাম লিখন, আসিফ মাহমুদ আকাশ ও যুবলীগ নেতা বাবুল মাতুব্বর সহ অনেকে।
চারা রোপণ কর্মসূচির প্রথম দিনে উপজেলার বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থানে ১০০ টি তালের চারা রোপণ করা হয়েছে
