আজ ৩০(ম) রোববার বিকেলে সিরাজগঞ্জের শাহজাদপুর উপজেলার কায়েমপুর ইউনিয়নের ব্রজবালা গ্রামে বজ্রপাতে দুই জন নিহত হয়েছে।
নিহতরা হলেন উপজেলার কায়েমপুর ইউনিয়নের ব্রজবালা গ্রামের নজরুল মহুরীর ছেলে সোহেল রানা (৩৭) ও একই গ্রামের আলম মিয়ার ছেলে জাইদুল ওরফে রাশিদুল (৩৫)। স্থানীয় ইউপি মেম্বার আবুল কালাম আজাদ জানান, নিহতরা এদিন বৃষ্টির সময় লেদুরপাড়া একটি জমিতে ধান কাটা কাজে ব্যস্ত ছিলো এসময় প্রচন্ড বজ্রপাতে দুই কৃষক নিহত হন
এই নিয়ে গত এক সপ্তাহে এই কায়েমপুর ইউনিয়নের মোট ৪ জন বজ্রপাতে নিহত হলো।
