সিরাজগঞ্জ কামারখন্দে লাখ টাকার হেরোইন মাদকসহ বেদেনা খাতুন ৩২) নামের এক নারী মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে আটক করেছেন মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ অধিদপ্তরের সদস্যরা।
বৃহস্পতিবার (২৬ আগস্ট) ভোররাত্রী সাড়ে ৪টার দিকে উপজেলার জামতৈল গ্রামের উত্তরপাড়া এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে হেরোইনসহ তাকে আটক করা হয়। আটককৃত বেদেনা খাতুন (৩২) উপজেলার জামতৈল গ্রাম উত্তরপাড়ার আইয়ুব আলীর স্ত্রী।
মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ অধিদপ্তরের পরিদর্শক (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) রফিকুল ইসলাম বলেন, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে এই নারী এলাকায় মাদক ব্যবসা করে আসছিল। এমন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে বৃহস্পতিবার ভোরে জামতৈল এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে নিজ বাড়ী থেকে ১০ গ্রাম হেরোইনসহ তাকে আটক করা হয়। যার আনুমানিক বাজার মূল্য প্রায় ১ লাখ টাকা। পরবর্তীতে তার বিরুদ্ধে মামলা দায়ের করে কামারখন্দ থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়। দুপুরে তাকে সিরাজগঞ্জ আদালতের মাধ্যমে কারাগারে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
