সিরাজগঞ্জে র্যাব ও পুলিশের আলাদা অভিযানে ছিনতাইকারী ও অজ্ঞান পার্টির ১৪ সদস্যকে আটক করা হয়েছে। এসময় অজ্ঞান পার্টির সদস্যদের কাছ থেকে একটি বাস জব্দ করা হয়েছে। আর ছিনতাইকারীদের কাছ থেকে উদ্ধার হয়েছে ১১০ গ্রাম হেরোইন।
শনিবার বিকেলে নিজ কার্যালয়ে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করে ১১জন ছিনতাইকারী আটকের তথ্য জানান সিরাজগঞ্জ পুলিশ সুপার হাসিবুল আলম। আর সন্ধ্যার পর র্যাব-১২’র ভারপ্রাপ্ত কোম্পানী কমান্ডার সহকারী পুলিশ সুপার মিঃ জন রানা স্বাক্ষরিত এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে অজ্ঞান পার্টির ৩ সদস্যকে আটকের তথ্য জানানো হয়।
আটক ছিনতাইকারীরা হলেন, সিরাজগঞ্জ শহরের মিরপুর হায়দারপাড়ার হেলাল শেখ (২৫), একই মহল্লার আলমগীর শেখ (৩০), কালাচান মোড়ের খাইরুল ইসলাম (২৩), উত্তরপাড়ার সালাউদ্দিন মন্ডল (২৫), চর মালশাপাড়া মহল্লার জসিম শেখ (২৫), আতাউর হোসেন (৩০), হাশর শেখ (২২), মনিরুল ইসলাম ওরফে পিচুনি (২৪), চক শিয়ালকোল গ্রামের সুমন মোল্লা (৩০), সাহেদ নগর ব্যাপারীপাড়ার কাইয়ুম ব্যাপারী (৩০) এবং একই মহল্লার নাঈম (১৯)।
আটক অজ্ঞানপার্টির সদস্যরা হলেন, নাটোরের বড়াইগ্রাম উপজেলার জোয়ারী গ্রামের শ্রী সুজন কুমার দাস (২৫), কালিকাপুরের মো: বিপ্লব পাঠান (৪৩) ও দিয়াপাড়ার শফিকুল ইসলাম (২৮)।
সংবাদ সন্মেলনে পুলিশ সুপার বলেন, কয়েকদিন ধরে শহরে বেশকিছু ছিনতাইয়ের ঘটনা ঘটলেও এ বিষয়ে থানায় কোনো ভুক্তভোগী অভিযোগ করেননি। তবে সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে বিষয়গুলো জানতে পেরে সদর থানা পুলিশ ও গোয়েন্দা পুলিশকে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ১১ ছিনতাইকারীকে আটক করা হয়েছে। আটককৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে মাদক ও ছিনতাইয়ের অভিযোগে একাধিক মামলা রয়েছে।
র্যাবের বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, ১৩ সেপ্টেম্বর সকালে নাটোরের গুরুদাসপুর উপজেলার শিকারপাড়ার ব্যবসায়ী আলমগীর হোসেন নাটোরের কাচিকাটা হতে রাজদীপ পরিবহনের একটি বাসে ব্যবসায়িক কাজে বগুড়া উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা করেন। বাসের মধ্যে তাকে রোগ নিরাময়ের কথা বলে জোরপূর্বক হালুয়া খাওয়ানো হয়। কিছুক্ষণ পর সে অচেতন হয়ে গেলে তার কাছে থাকা ৩ লাখ ২ হাজার টাকা ও একটি মোবাইল নিয়ে নেয় চক্রটি। এরপর দুপুর দেড়টার দিকে তাকে অচেতন অবস্থায় কাচিকাটা বাসস্ট্যান্ডের কাছে ফেলে রেখে যান তারা।
এ বিষয়ে ১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর র্যাবের কাছে লিখিত অভিযোগ করেন ভুক্তভোগী ব্যবসায়ী আলমগীর। অভিযোগ পাওয়ার পরই সলঙ্গা থানার চড়িয়া কালিবাড়ি এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে অজ্ঞান পার্টির ৩ সদস্যকে আটক এবং তাদের ব্যবহৃত একটি বাস জব্দ করা হয়
