সিরাজগঞ্জের শাহজাদপুর উপজেলার পৌর এলাকার পাড়কোলা কাঠালতলা এলাকায় বগুড়া-নগরবাড়ি মহাসড়কে শুক্রবার ভোর সাড়ে ৪টার দিকে দুই ট্রাকের সংঘর্ষে ১ জন কাঁচামাল ব্যবসায়ী নিহত ও ৪ জন আহত হয়েছে। নিহত কাঁচামাল ব্যবসায়ী মো: পাশা খাঁন(৪৫) বগুড়া জেলার ধুনট উপজেলার পূর্ব ভরনশাহী গ্রামের মোজাম্মেল হক খাঁনের ছেলে। আহতরা হলেন,দুলাল(৬০),বাটুল(৩০),টুটুল(৩০) ও বিপ্লব (৩৫)। এদের সবার বাড়ি ধুনট উপজেলায়।
এ বিষয়ে শাহজাদপুর উপজেলা ফায়ার সার্ভিসের স্টেশনের মাস্টার মঞ্জুরুল আলম ও হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানার এসআই মাহীন জানান,উল্লাপাড়া থেকে ছেড়ে আসা বাঘাবাড়িগামী বালুবোঝাই একটি বিকল ট্রাক(ঢাকা মেট্রো-ট-২২-০৭৭৭) আগে থেকেই পাড়কোলা বাসস্ট্যান্ডের দক্ষিণে কাঠালতলা এলাকায় দাড়িয়ে ছিল। ভোর সাড়ে ৪টার দিকে একটি খালি ট্রাক(ঢাকা-ন-২০-৪৩-৭৭) বগুড়ার ধুনট থেকে কয়েকজন কাঁচামাল ব্যবসায়ীদের নিয়ে পাবনার বেড়া সিএনবির হাটে যাওয়ার সময় ঘটনাস্থলে পৌছে দাড়িয়ে থাকা বালুবোঝই ট্রাকটিকে পিছনে সজোড়ে ধাক্কা দেয়। এতে ওই ট্রাকের সামনের অংশ দুমরেমুচরে যায়। খবর পেয়ে শাহজাদপুর ফায়ার সার্ভিসের কর্মীরা ঘটনাস্থলে পৌছে দুমরেমুচরে যাওয়া ট্রাকের সামনের অংশ মেশিনের সাহায্যে কেটে আহত ৫জনকে উদ্ধার করে শাহজাদপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে ভর্তি করে। এর কিছুক্ষণ পর সেখানে কাচামাল ব্যবসায়ী পাশার মৃত্যু হয়। আহতদের মধ্যে বিপ্লবকে বগুড়া শহীদ জিয়া মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে রেফার্ড করা হয়েছে। দূর্ঘটনা কবলিত ট্রাকটি জব্দ করে হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানায় নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে।
এ বিষয়ে শাহজাদপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডা.আমিনুল ইসলাম খান বলেন,আহতদের হাসপাতালে ভর্তির কিছুক্ষণ পর চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় পাশা খাঁনের মৃত্যু হয়। আহত বিপ্লবকে আশংকাজনক অবস্থায় বগুড়া শহীদ জিয়া মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে রেফার্ড করা হয়েছে। অপর আহত দুইজন সুস্থ্য হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে গেছে।
এ বিষয়ে হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানার ওসি শাহজাহান আলী বলেন,দূর্ঘটনা কবলিত ট্রাকটি জব্দ করা হয়েছে। ট্রাক চালক পালিয়ে গেছে। এ ঘটনায় হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানায় একটি নিয়মিত মামলা দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি চলছে।
