পাবনার আটঘরিয়া উপজেলার দেবোত্তর স্পোটিং ক্লাবের আয়োজনে মুজিব শতবর্ষী নকআউট ফুটবল টুর্ণামেন্ট উদ্বোধন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। শুক্রবার (১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর) বিকালে আটঘরিয়া উপজেলা পরিষদ মাঠে উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মাকসুদা আক্তার মাসু টুর্ণামেন্টের শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন। টুর্ণামেন্টের উদ্বোধনী খেলায় চাটমোহর স্পোটিং ক্লাব বনাম দুবলিয়া স্পোটিং ক্লাব অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
উক্ত ফুটবল টুর্ণামেন্টে প্রধান অতিথির আসন অলংকৃত করে বক্তব্য রাখেন আটঘরিয়া উপজেলা আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি ও আটঘরিয়া পৌর মেয়র শহিদুল ইসলাম রতন।
এ সময় বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিআরডিপির চেয়ারম্যান আশরাফুল ইসলাম, আটঘরিয়া প্রেসক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক জিল্লুর রহমান, পৌর ওয়ার্ড কাউন্সিলর মোফাজ্জল হোসেনসহ প্রমুখ।
আটঘরিয়া উপজেলার দেবোত্তর স্পোটিং ক্লাবের সভাপতি হেলাল উদ্দিনের সভাপতিত্ব উক্ত খেলায় রেফারীর দায়িত্বে ছিলেন পাবনা জেলা ক্রীড়া সংস্থার রেফারী বদিউজ্জামান বেনু, তার সহযোগী রেফারীর দায়িত্বে ছিলেন জামিল আক্তার ও খাইরুলাহ দিপু। উক্ত টুর্ণামেন্টে মোট ৮টি দল অংশগ্রহণ করবেন বলে এই প্রতিনিধিকে জানান আটঘরিয়া উপজেলার দেবোত্তর স্পোটিং ক্লাবের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মোঃ আব্দুল মালেক।
উদ্বোধনী খেলার ধারাবর্ণনায় ছিলেন ইলিয়াস হোসেন, আবুল কালাম আজাদ প্রমূখ। খেলায় নির্ধারিত সময়ে ১-১ গোলে ড্র হলে পরে কমিটির সিদ্ধান্তে টাইব্রেকার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। টাইব্রেকারে দুবলিয়া স্পোটিং ক্লাব ৩-২ গোলে চাটমোহর স্পোটিং ক্লাবকে পরাজিত করেন।
