সমাজ কল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয়ের অধিন সিলেটের জৈন্তাপুর উপজেলা সমাজসেবা অফিসের মাধ্যমে অসহায় দুস্থ মানুষের মাঝে চিকিৎসা সামগ্রী ও আর্থিক অনুদান প্রদান করেছেন প্রবাসী কল্যাণ ও বৈদেশিক কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রী ইমরান আহমদ এমপি।
১০ সেপ্টেম্বর শুত্রুবার সকাল ১১টায় উপজেলা পরিষদ প্রাঙ্গনে মন্ত্রীর হাত থেকে নগদ অর্থ সহ চিকিৎসা সামগ্রী গ্রহন করেন উপকারভোগীরা। এর মধ্যে ছিল পালস অক্সি মিটার ২টি, ডিজিটাল ভিপি মেশিন ১টি, ইনফ্রারেট থারমোমিটার ১টি ও নেবুলাইজার ২টি মন্ত্রীর হাত থেকে গ্রহন করেন উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডাঃ এনামুল হক। এছাড়া ৯টি স্বেচ্ছাসেবী সংগঠনকে ২০ হাজার করে মোট ১ লক্ষ ৮০ হাজার টাকা ও ১০ জন সংস্কৃতি কর্মীর মাঝে ২হাজার ৫শ টাকা করে প্রদান করা হয়। এবং ৭ টি হতদরিদ্র পরিবারের মাঝে ঢেউটিন ও নগদ অর্থ সহায়তা দোওয়া হয়।
জৈন্তাপুর উপজেলা সমাজসেবা অফিসার একে আজাদ ভূইয়ার পরিচালনায় এসময়ে উপস্থিত ছিলেন উপজেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান কামাল আহমদ,ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান বশির উদ্দিন, উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার নুসরাত আজমেরী হক, উপজেলা কৃষি অফিসার ফারুক হোসাইন, কৃষি সম্প্রসার অফিসার মোহাম্মদ সোহেল, সমাজসেবা অফিসের শাহ আলম, আলতাফ হোসেন, জৈন্তাপুর প্রেসক্লাবের সহ-সভাপতি আব্দুল হালিম, সাধারণ সম্পাদক গোলাম সরওয়ার বেলাল, প্রচার সম্পাদক শাহাজাহান কবীর খান প্রমুখ।
