যত্রতত্র পার্কিং, মহাসড়কে চলাচলকারী রেজিষ্ট্রেশন ও ফিটনেস বিহীন যানবাহনের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চালিয়েছে গাজীপুর রিজিওনের মাওনা হাইওয়ে থানা পুলিশ।
শুক্রবার (১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুপুরে ঢাকা-ময়মনসিংহ মহাসড়কে অভিযান চালিয়ে ১৫টি নিষিদ্ধ যান আটক এবং ৮ টিকে মামলা দেয়া হযেছে।
মাওনা হাইওয়ে থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মোঃ কামাল হোসেন বলেন, মাওনা হাইওয়ে থানা পুলিশের অভিযানে ১৫টি নিষিদ্ধ যান আটক এবং ৮টি মামলা দেয়া হয়েছে। গত আগস্ট মাসে অবৈধ যানবাহনের বিরুদ্ধে মাওনা হাইওয়ে থানায় ৩৫০টি মামলা রুজু করে। যা এ যাবৎকালের মধ্যে সর্বোচ্চ। এ অভিযান নিয়মিত অব্যাহত থাকবে বলেও জানান তিনি।
