নওগাঁর মহাদেবপুরে টিকার সরবরাহ না থাকায় বন্ধ রয়েছে টিকাদান। টিকা নেয়ার জন্য এই উপজেলার লক্ষ মানুষ এখন হাহাকার করছেন। দেড় মাস আগে রেজিষ্ট্রেশন করেও টিকা না পেয়ে হতাশ হয়ে পড়েছেন তারা। অনেকেই যোগাযোগ করছেন উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে। কিন্তু টিকা না পেয়ে ফিরে যাচ্ছেন। উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ডা: আব্দুল হাকিম জানান, পর্যাপ্ত টিকার সরবরাহ না থাকায় মঙ্গলবার (৩১ আগস্ট) থেকে এই উপজেলায় টিকা দেয়া বন্ধ রয়েছে। আগে মানুষ টিকা নিতে অনিহা প্রকাশ করলেও এখন গ্রামে গঞ্জে মানুষ ব্যাপকহারে টিকা
নেয়ার আগ্রহ দেখাচ্ছেন। সবশেষ এক সপ্তাহ আগে ২২ আগস্ট এখানে ৬০০ টিকা আসে।
তিনি জানান, মঙ্গলবার পর্যন্ত এই উপজেলায় টিকা নেয়ার জন্য রেজিষ্ট্রেশন করেছেন ১ লাখ ৫ হাজার ১৭৬ জন। টিকা দেয়া হয়েছে প্রথম ডোজ ২১ হাজার ৭০১ জনকে, আর দ্বিতীয় ডোজ ১৪ হাজার ৪৫৪ জনকে। দ্বিতীয় ডোজ দেয়া বাকি আছে ৭ হাজার ৩০০ জন। এছাড়া জরুরী পাশপোর্টের জন্য টিকা দেয়া হয়েছে ২১ জনকে। রেজিষ্ট্রেশন করেও
এখনও টিকা পাননি ৮৩ হাজার ৪৩৫ জন। টিকার সরবরাহ পাওয়া গেলে তাদের সকলকেই টিকা দেয়া হবে বলেও তিনি জানান
