রবিবার (২৯ আগস্ট) সকাল ৯টায় উপজেলার আড়ানগর ইউনিয়নের অন্তর্গত কর্ণাই নামক গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। সে মৃত আব্দুল কুদ্দুসের ছেলে।
এবিষয়ে ১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ড ইউপি সদস্য মো. আনোয়ার হোসেন জানান, আব্দুর ছাত্তার তার নিজস্ব ভ্যানে চার্জ দেওয়ার জন্য নিজ বাড়ি থেকে সংযোগ লাইনের কাজ করছিল। এমতাবস্থায় অসাবধানতা বশত সে বিদ্যুৎ স্পর্শ হয়ে গুরুতর আহত হয়। পরে সেখান থেকে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য তাকে স্থানীয়রা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্যকমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে আসলে সেখানে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত বলে ঘোষনা করেন। নিহত আব্দুর ছাত্তার এক ছেলে ও দুই মেয়ে সন্তানের জনক ছিলেন।
