কিশোরগঞ্জের কটিয়াদী উপজেলার কমরভোগ-মন্ডলভোগ রাস্তাটি প্রায় তিন বছর ধরে বেহাল অবস্থায় রয়েছে। দীর্ঘ দিন সংস্কার না হওয়ায় রাস্তাটি খানাখন্দে ভরা ও ছোট-বড় অসংখ্য গর্তের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। তাই চলাচল করতে গিয়ে প্রতিনিয়িত পথচারী ও যাত্রীরা ভোগান্তির শিকার হচ্চেন। বৃষ্টি হলেই হাটু পরিমাণ কাদা জমে চলাচলের একেবারেই অনুপযোগী হয়ে পড়ে। এ অবস্থায় পথচারী ও স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদেরকে সীমাহীন দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হচ্ছে।
কমরভোগ থেকে শুরু করে মুমুরদিয়া হয়ে মন্ডলভোগ পর্যন্ত রাস্তাটি প্রায় ছয় কিলোমিটার। এলাকাবাসী জানান, তিন বছর আগেও এ রাস্তা দিয়ে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা খুবই ভালো ছিল। কিছুদিন আগে একটি ঠিকাদারী প্রতিষ্ঠান এলজিইডির মাধ্যমে রাস্তাটি সংস্কারের কাজ শুরু করলেও রহস্যজনক কারণে কাজটি বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। এই ছয় কিলোমিটার রাস্তার মধ্যে রয়েছে দুটি সেতু। সেতুগুলোর অবস্থাও খুবই করুণ বলে এলাকাবাসী জানিয়েছেন।
এলাকার আলাউদ্দিন মিয়াসহ গ্রামবাসী অনেকেই জানান,একটি ঠিকাদারী প্রতিষ্ঠান রাস্তাটিতে ভেকু দিয়ে মাটি উঠিয়ে এমন করুণ দশা করেছে। তারা কাজটি শুরু করেও অজ্ঞাত কারণে বন্ধ করে দেয়। একটু বৃষ্টি হলেই এ রাস্তা দিয়ে চলাচল করা কঠিন হয়ে পড়ে। প্রায়ই দুর্ঘটনার শিকার হচ্ছেন পথচারীরা। সিএনজিচালক ও রিকসাচালকরা আবু ইউসুফ জানান, রাস্তা ছোট-বড় গর্তের জন্য যাত্রীরা আরামে গাড়িতে বসতে পারে না। তারপরও ঝুঁকি নিয়েই গাড়ি চালাতে হয়।সাম্প্রতিক বর্ষণে ওই সব গর্তে জল জমে প্রায় ডোবায় পরিণত হয়েছে। যাতায়াত করাই দুষ্কর। কটিয়াদী উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) জ্যোতিশ্বর পালের সাথে মুঠোফোনে যোগাযোগ করা হলে তিনি বলেন, মাত্র দুই মাস হলো তিনি এখানে যোগদান করেছেন। এ রাস্তার বিষয়ে তিনি অবগত নন বলে জানান।
