ঢাকার কেরানীগঞ্জে বাংলাদেশ সড়ক পরিবহন কর্তৃপক্ষের (বিআরটিএ) কার্যালয় ও পাসপোর্ট অফিসে দালালদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চালাচ্ছে র্যাপিড অ্যাকশন ব্যাটালিয়ন (র্যাব)।
রবিবার (৫ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুপুরে শুরু হওয়া এ অভিযানে শেষ খবর পাওয়া পর্যন্ত বিআরটিএ অফিস থেকে ৩৬ ও পাসপোর্ট অফিস থেকে ১৬ জন দালালকে আটক করা হয়েছে।
র্যাব-১০ এর সহযোগিতায় বিআরটিএ কার্যালয়ে অভিযানে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন র্যাবের নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মাজহারুল ইসলাম ও পাসপোর্ট অফিসে অভিযানে নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন র্যাবের নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট আয়েশা আক্তার।
র্যাব-১০ এর সহকারী পরিচালক এএসপি এনায়েত কবীর সোয়েব গণমাধ্যমকে জানান, কেরানীগঞ্জের বিআরটিএ কার্যলয়ে ড্রাইভিং লাইসেন্স ও গাড়ি রেজিস্ট্রেশনের কাজ করতে আসা সাধারণ নাগরিকদের টার্গেট করে একটি দালাল চক্র মোটা অংকের টাকা হাতিয়ে নিচ্ছিল। এমন অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে দুপুর থেকে অভিযান শুরু হয়।
অন্যদিকে কেরানীগঞ্জ পাসপোর্ট অফিসে পাসপোর্ট করতে আসা সাধারণ নাগরিকদের পাসপোর্ট করার কথা বলে টাকা হাতিয়ে নেওয়া দালাল চক্রের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চালানো হচ্ছে।
এখন পর্যন্ত বিআরটিএ অফিস থেকে ৩৬ দালাল ও পাসপোর্ট অফিস থেকে ১৬ জন দালালকে আটক করা হয়েছে। অভিযান চলছে। অভিযান শেষে বিস্তারিত জানানো হবে বলেও জানান তিনি।
