পাইকগাছায় করোনা ওয়ার্ডে মারাত্মক বেড সংকট; নতুন রোগী বেড না থাকায় ফেরত যাচ্ছে; চরম ভোগান্তিতে করোনা আক্রান্ত রোগ
খুলনার পাইকগাছা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সের করোনা ওয়ার্ডে মারাত্মক বেড সংকট। নতুন রোগী বেড না থাকায় ফেরত যাচ্ছে। দিতে পারছে না অক্সিজেন। চরম ভোগান্তিতে পড়েছেন শ্বাসকষ্ঠের রোগীসহ করোনা আক্রান্তরা রোগীরা। মারাত্মক ঝুকি নিয়ে বাড়িতে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন অনেকে। এদিকে ঝুকি নিয়ে রাতদিন কাজ করছেন হাসপাতালের চিকিৎসক নার্সরা। অপরদিকে কয়রা হাসপাতালের করোনা ওয়ার্ড বন্ধ থাকায় রোগীর চাপ বেশী হচ্ছে পাইকগাছায়। দ্রæত কয়রার করোনা ওয়ার্ড চালুর দাবি সচেতন মহলের। উপজেলা করোনা সংক্রমন প্রতিরোধ কমিটির নেতৃবৃন্দ এই মুহুর্তে বেড সংকটের কথা স্বীকার করে দ্রুত সমাধানের আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন।
জেলার ৯টি উপজেলার মধ্যে পাইকগাছায় করোনা আক্রান্তের হার এই মুহুর্তে শীর্ষে। প্রতিদিনিই আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা মারাত্মকভাবে বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। সাথে যোগ হচ্ছে মৃত্যুর সংখ্যাও। উপজেলায় এই পর্যন্ত করোনা আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা ৫ শত ৮ জন। এরমধ্যে সুস্থ্য হয়েছেন ২শত ৯৩ জন। মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৯ জনের। শুধুমাত্র গত এক সপ্তাহে করোনা আক্রান্ত হয়ে ৪ জন ও উপসর্গ নিয়ে মৃত্যু বরন করেছেন ৩ জন। দীর্ঘদিন যাবত উপজেলায় করোনা আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা প্রায় ৫০ শতাংশ। উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে করোনা ওয়ার্ডে ১৫ টি বেডেই রোগী ভর্তি রয়েছে। গত তিনদিন যাবত হাসপাতালের করোনা ওয়ার্ডে কোন নতুন রোগী ভর্তি করা সম্ভব হচ্ছে না। কেননা ১৫ টি বেডের মধ্যে ১১ জনের করোনা পজেটিভ। বাকি ৪ জনের করোনা উপসর্গ নিয়ে ভর্তি। তাদের প্রত্যেকের মারাত্মক শ্বাসকষ্ঠ হচ্ছে। সকলেরই অক্সিজেন দেওয়া লাগছে। এদিকে বেড না থাকায় শ্বাসকষ্ঠের রোগীরা পড়েছেন মারাত্মক ভোগান্তিতে। ফিরে যাচ্ছেন অনেকে হাসপাতাল থেকে। সরজমিনে ঘুরে দেখা যায় হাসপাতালের বারান্দায় বেে র উপর রোগীরা মারাত্মক অসুস্থ্য অবস্থায় অবস্থান করছেন। তাদের সকলের শ্বাস কষ্ঠ হচ্ছে। কিন্তু বেড ফাঁকা নেই। চরম ভোগান্তিতে পড়েছেন রোগীরা। অপরদিকে উপজেলার বিভিন্ন এলাকায় মারাত্মক ঝুকি নিয়ে বাড়িতে করোনা আক্রান্তরা চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। একটি সুত্র জানিয়েছে, পার্শ্ববর্তী কয়রা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে করোনা ওয়ার্ডে রোগী ভর্তি না করার কারনে সেই সমস্ত রোগী এবং সাতক্ষীরার আশাশুনি ও তালা উপজেলার অনেক রোগী পাইকগাছায় এসে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। যে কারনে উপজেলার আক্রান্ত রোগীরা পড়েছেন আরোবেশী সমস্যায়।
রোগীর আত্মীয় স্বজনরা জানিয়েছেন সকাল থেকে হাসপাতালে এসে বেড না থাকায় তাদের রোগীদের মারাত্মক শ্বাসকষ্ঠ হচ্ছে। যে কারনে বেে র উপর শুয়ে বসে সময় পার করছেন। কখন বেড ফাঁকা হবে, আর কখন বেড পাবো। হাসপাতালে আগত আবদুল মজিদ জানিয়েছেন, গত কয়েকদিন যাবত মারাত্মক শ্বাসকষ্ঠ নিয়ে বাড়িতে চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। এখন হাসাপাতালে এসেছেন। কিন্তু কোন বেড ফাঁকা নেই।
উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তা ও উপজেলা করোনা সংক্রমন প্রতিরোধ কমিটির সদস্য সচিব ডাঃ নীতিশ চন্দ্র গোলদার এই মুহুর্তে হাসপাতালের বেড সংকটের কথা স্বীকার করে বলেন, যাদের অক্সিজেন সেচুরেশন ভালো তাদেরকে বাড়িতে পাঠিয়ে দেওয়া হচ্ছে। জনবল সংকটের কারনে অন্য রোগীদের চিকিৎসা সেবাও মারাত্মক ব্যাহত হচ্ছে। এছাড়া তিনি আরো জানান পাশ্ববর্তী কয়রা উপজেলার করোনা ওয়ার্ড বন্ধ থাকার কারনে সেই রোগী এবং সীমান্তবর্তী আশাশুনি ও তালা উপজেলার রোগীরাও এই হাসপাতালে এেেস চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। যে কারনে রোগীর চাপে চিকিৎসা কার্যক্রম অনেকা ব্যহত হচ্ছে।
উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার ও করোনা সংক্রমন প্রতিরোধ কমিটির উপজেলা সভাপতি এবিএম খালিদ হোসেন সিদ্দিকী বলেন, বাড়ি থেকে যাদের চিকিৎসা সেবা দেওয়া সম্ভব তাদেরকে বাড়ি থেকে সেবা দেওয়া হবে। বেসরকারি পর্যায়ে এই মুহুর্তে ৫০টি অক্সিজেন সিলিন্ডার দিয়ে একটি অক্সিজেন ব্যাংক প্রতিষ্টা করছি। এটা হয়তো দুই তিনদিনের মধ্যে প্রতিষ্ঠা করা সম্ভব হবে। তবে এই মুহুর্তে বেড বাড়ানোর সম্ভবনা নেই। এরপরও যদি মারাত্মক অসুবিধা হয় তাহলে জেলা প্রশাসকসহ সংশ্লিষ্ঠরেদও সাথে কথা বলে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। এদিকে বিএমএর কেন্দ্রীয় দপ্তর সম্পাদক ও খুলনা জেলা আওয়ামীলীগের স্বাস্থ্য ও জনসংখ্যা বিষয়ক সম্পাদক অধ্যাপক ডাঃ মোহাঃ শেখ শহীদ উল্লাহ মুঠো ফোনে জানিয়েছেন, কয়রা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সের করোনা ওয়ার্ড এবং পাইকগাছা হাসপাতালে যাতে বেড সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি করা যায় সে ব্যাপারে চেষ্টা চলছে। হয়তো দুই একদিনের মধ্যে সমস্যার সমাধান হয়ে যাবে।
