ফেনী সদর হাসপাতাল মোড় এলাকায় অভিযান চালিয়ে ৪৭ বোতল বিদেশী মদ ও ৪’শ গ্রাম গাঁজাসহ মোঃ রিয়াদ হোসেন (২৬) নামে একজন মাদক ব্যাবসায়ীকে আটক করেছে র্যাব-৭, ফেনী সদস্যরা।
র্যাব-৭ ফেনী ক্যাম্প গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে একজন মাদক ব্যবসায়ী মাদকদ্রব্য বিদেশী মদ ও গাঁজা বিক্রয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে ফেনী সদর হাসাপাতাল মোড়ে স্টার লাইন সুইটস এর সামনে ১১জুন শুক্রবার, ভোরে ফেনী ক্যাম্পের একটি আভিযানিক উপস্থিত হওয়া মাত্রই র্যাবের উপস্থিতি টের পেয়ে ওই মাদক বিক্রেতা দৌড়ে পালিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টাকালে র্যাব সদস্যরা ওই ব্যক্তিকে আটক করতে সক্ষম হয়।
আটককৃত আসামী মোঃ রিয়াদ হোসেনকে তল্লাশি করে তার সাথে থাকা দুইটি প্লাষ্টিকের বস্তার ভিতর থেকে ৪৭ বোতল বিদেশী মদ ও ৪’শ গ্রাম গাঁজা উদ্ধার করে। প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে জানা যায়, সে সুকৌশলে দীর্ঘদিন যাবৎ বিদেশী মদ ও গাঁজা ফেনীর সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকা হইতে আনয়ন করে এইসব মাদকদ্রব্য ফেনী ও চট্টগ্রাম জেলার বিভিন্ন মাদক ব্যবসায়ী ও মাদক সেবীদের নিকট বিক্রি করে আসছে।
উদ্ধারকৃত মাদকদ্রব্যের আনুমানিক মূল্য ৮৬ হাজার ৯’শত টাকা।
ফেনীস্থ র্যাব-৭ এর সহকারী পুলিশ সুপার, সহকারী পরিচালক ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত কোম্পানী অধিনায়ক মোঃ জুনায়েদ জাহেদী জানান, মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে মামলা দায়েরপূর্বক গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামী ও উদ্ধারকৃত মালামাল ফেনী মডেল থানায় হস্তান্তরের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।
