ফেনীর সোনাগাজীর মুহুরী নদী থেকে নিখোঁজের তিন দিন পর শুক্রবার ৬ আগষ্ট বিকালে নূর মোহাম্মদ(৮৫) নামে এক বৃদ্ধের অর্ধগলিত লাশ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ।
সে চট্রগ্রাম জেলার মীরসরাই উপজেলার পশ্চিম ঘোবনীয়া গ্রামের উজির আলী বৈদ্য বাড়ির মৃত আনু মিয়ার ছেলে।
পুলিশ ও নিহতের পরিবার জানায়, বৃদ্ধ নুর মোহাম্মদ মীরসরাই উপজেলার পশ্চিম বাঁশখালী গ্রামের মামুন হাজীর মালিকীয় জারা এগ্রো মৎস্য খামারে নৈশ প্রহরী হিসেবে কর্মরত ছিলেন। গত ৩ আগস্ট রাতে তিনি খামার থেকে নিখোঁজ হন। শুক্রবার বিকেলে স্থানীয়রা মুহুরী নদীর নির্মাণাধীন মুহুরী ব্রিজের পাশে কুচুরিপানার নীচে ভাসমান লাশটি দেখতে পায়। খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ বিকাল পাঁচটায় লাশ উদ্ধার করে।
সোনাগাজী মডেল থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) সাজেদুল ইসলাম ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, বৃদ্ধের মরদেহ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য ফেনী জেনারেল হাসপাতাল মর্গে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে এবং আইনগত ব্যবস্থা প্রক্রিয়াধীন রয়েছে।
