আত্রাই (নওগাঁ) সংবাদদাতা: নওগাঁর আত্রাইয়ে মাঠ থেকে ধান কেটে ভ্যান গাড়ী বোঝায় করে বাড়িতে আনার সময় রাস্তার পাশের গাছের সাথে ধাক্কা লেগে ছিটকে পড়ে আহত হয়ে পাঞ্জব (৫৫) নামের এক বৃদ্ধ নিহত হয়েছেন। নিহত পাঞ্জব উপজেলার হাতিয়াপাড়া গ্রামের মৃত জসিম উদ্দিনের ছেলে।
জানা গেছে, গত রোববার (১৬ মে) বিকেলে মাঠ থেকে ধান কেটে ভ্যান ভর্তি করে বাড়িতে আনার সময় মাগুড়া আকবরপুর গ্রামের রাস্তার পাশে একটি গাছের সাথে ধাক্কা লেগে পাঞ্জব ছিটকে পড়ে মারাত্মক আহত হয়। স্থানীয়রা সেখান থেকে তাকে আহত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করে চিকিৎসার জন্য নওগাঁ সদর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করেন। তার অবস্থার অবনতি ঘটলে চিকিৎসকরা তাকে উন্নত চিকিৎসার জন্য বগুড়া শহীদ জিয়াউর রহমান মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে স্থানান্তর করেন। সেখানে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় গতকাল মঙ্গলবার ভোর রাতে তিনি মারা যান।
আত্রাই থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মো. আবুল কালাম আজাদ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
