মোঃ জাহিদ হাসান মিলু, ঠাকুরগাঁও প্রতিনিধি: ঠাকুরগাঁওয়ের পীরগঞ্জ উপজেলায় অবিনাশ চন্দ্র রায় লাল বাবু (৬৫) নামে এক ভিক্ষুকের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে থানা পুলিশ।
মঙ্গলবার (১১ মে) সকালে উপজেলার কালুপীরের সিবপুর এলাকা থেকে ভিক্ষুকের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয় বলে জানান, পীরগঞ্জ থানার ওসি প্রদীপ কুমার রায়।
ওসি বলেন পীরগঞ্জ-বীরগঞ্জ পাকা সড়কের কালুপীরে নুনু স’মিলের পাশে পাকা রাস্তার উপরে রক্তাক্ত অবস্থায় অবিনাশের মরদেহ পড়ে থাকতে দেখে স্থানীয়রা।
পরে খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে মর্গে পাঠায়। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, সড়ক দুর্ঘটনায় অবিনাশের মৃত্যু হতে পারে।
অবিনাশ চন্দ্র রায় লাল বাবু বাড়ি দিনাজপুর জেলার কাহারোল উপজেলার কাকোর চান্দহর গ্রামে। তিনি ভিক্ষাবৃত্তি করতেন বলে জানা য়ায়।
