পাইকগাছা (খুলনা) প্রতিনিধি: এবার পাইকগাছার অবৈধ দুটি ইট-ভাটা বন্ধ করে দিলো প্রশাসন। মঙ্গলবার উপজেলার ধামরাইল এলাকার সামিনা ব্রিকস ও স্টার ব্রিকস নামের দুটি ইট-ভাটার সকল কার্যক্রম প্রশাসনের থেকে বন্ধ করে দেওয়া হয়। অভিযোগ আছে এ দুটি ইট-ভাটা কোন অনুমোদন ছাড়াই লাইসেন্স বিহীন অবৈধ ভাবে ইট-ভাটার সকল কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করে আসছিল।
সম্প্রতি নানা অভিযোগের ভিত্তিতে জেলা প্রশাসকের কার্যালয় থেকে দুটি ইট-ভাটার সকল কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করে দেওয়ার জন্য উপজেলা প্রশাসনকে নির্দেশনা প্রদান করা হয়। নির্দেশনা মোতাবেক উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার এবিএম খালিদ হোসেন সিদ্দিকীর তত্তাবধায়নে নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ও সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) মোঃ শাহরিয়ার হক সোমবার বিকালে সরেজমিন গিয়ে ভাটা পরিচালনার সকল অভিযোগের সত্যতা পান।
এরপর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার এবিএম খালিদ হোসেন সিদ্দিকী কোন জেল-জরিমানা ছাড়াই দুটি ভাটার সকল কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করার নির্দেশনা দিলে সামিনা ব্রিকস ইট-ভাটার পক্ষে মোঃ আলমগীর হোসেন ও স্টার ব্রিকস এর পক্ষ আশরাফুল আলম খান লিখিত অঙ্গিকার করেন যে, আজ হতে অবৈধ ইট-ভাটার সকল কার্যক্রম বন্ধ থাকবে এবং ৭ দিনের মধ্যে নিজ খরচে ভাটার যাবতীয় মালামাল অপসারণ করে নেওয়া হবে মর্মে দুই ভাটার পক্ষ থেকে দুই জন ষ্টাম্পে লিখিতভাবে অঙ্গিকার করেন।
