পটুয়াখালীর কলাপাড়ায় সুমন খান (২৫) নামের এক যুবকের রহস্যজনক মৃত্যু হয়েছে। শনিবার সকাল সাড়ে ৬ টার দিকে তার মৃত্যু হয়। তার বাড়ী উপজেলার মহিপুর ইউনিয়নের লতিফপুর গ্রামে। সে ওই গ্রামের মো.মজিদ খানের ছেলে।পুলিশ ও স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা গেছে,ঘটনার দিন সকালে ওই ইউনিয়নের মনোহরপুর গ্রামে এক দোকানের সামনে উপুর হওয়া অবস্থায় দেখতে পায় স্থানীয়রা। পরে সেখান থেকে তাকে উদ্ধার করে কলাপাড়া হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
কলাপাড়া থানার (ওসি) তদন্ত আসাদুর রহমান বলেন, মৃত যুবকের মুখমণ্ডলসহ শরীরে আঘাতের চিহ্ন রয়েছে। হাসপাতাল থেকে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে মর্গে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় একটি ইউডি মামলা করা হয়েছে।
