বিশ্বে করোনায় আক্রান্ত ও মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা কমেছে। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় বিশ্বে করোনায় নতুন করে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে ৪ লাখ ৪৮ হাজার ২৮৪ জন। ২৪ ঘণ্টার ব্যবধানে আক্রান্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা কমেছে ১ লাখ ৪৯ হাজার। এ নিয়ে বিশ্বে মোট আক্রান্ত ২২ কোটি ৫০ লাখ ৯৯ হাজার ৮৫৫ জন।
গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় করোনায় মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৭ হাজার ৬৩২ জন। একদিনের ব্যবধানে মৃত্যু কমেছে ১ হাজার ৫২০ জন। এ নিয়ে করোনায় মোট মৃত্যু ৪৬ লাখ ৩৮ হাজার ৫০২ জন।
সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন মোট ২০ কোটি ১৬ লাখ ৩৩ হাজার ৩৯০ জন।
শনিবার (১২ সেপ্টেম্বর) সকালে করোনার পরিসংখ্যান রাখা আন্তর্জাতিক ওয়েবসাইট ওয়ার্ল্ডোমিটার থেকে এসব তথ্য জানা গেছে।
ওয়ার্ল্ডোমিটারের তথ্য অনুযায়ী বিশ্বে করোনা আক্রান্ত ও মৃত্যুর দিক দিয়ে শীর্ষে রয়েছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র। এখন পর্যন্ত দেশটিতে করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৪ কোটি ১৮ লাখ ১৬ হাজার ৬৬৮ জন। মারা গেছে ৬ লাখ ৭৭ হাজার ৭৩৭ জন।
ভারতে করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে ৪ কোটি ৩২ লাখ ৩২ হাজার ১৬৮ জন। মারা গেছে ৪ লাখ ৪২ হাজার ৬৮৮ জন।
ব্রাজিলে করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে ২ কোটি ৯ লাখ ৮৯ হাজার ১৬৮ জন। মারা গেছে ৫ লাখ ৮৬ হাজার ৫৯০ জন।
প্রসঙ্গত, ২০১৯ সালের ডিসেম্বরে চীন থেকে সংক্রমণ শুরু হওয়ার পর বিশ্বব্যাপী ছড়িয়েছে প্রাণঘাতী করোনাভাইরাস। গত বছরের ১১ মার্চ করোনাভাইরাস সংকটকে মহামারি ঘোষণা করে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা (ডব্লিউএইচও)।
