চাঁদপুরের ফরিদগঞ্জে সিএনজি ও মোটরসাইকেলের মুখোমুখী সংঘর্ষে হতাহত হয়েছে দুই জন।
৩০ আগস্ট সোমবার বিকালে উপজেলার গুপ্টি পশ্চিম ইউনিয়নের খাজুরিয়া এলাকায় সিএনজি ও মোটর সাইকেলর মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে মোটসাইকেল চালক আবদুল আলিম (৩৬) নিহত হয় এবং মোটর সাইকেল আরোহী মোঃ মানিক (২৯) গুরত্বর আহত হয়।স্থানীয়রা জানান, সোমবার বিকালে রামগঞ্জ থেকে দ্রুত গতিতে আসা মোটর সাইকেলটি নিয়ন্ত্রন হারিয়ে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা সিএনজিটিকে স্বজোরে ধাক্কা দিয়ে মোটসাইকেলের চালক ও আরোহী গুরত্বর আহত হলে তাদের উদ্ধার করে ফরিদগঞ্জ উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নিয়ে আসলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক আলিমকে মৃত ঘোষনা করেন এবং উন্নত চিকিসার জন্য মানিকে চাঁদপুর সরকারী জেনারেল হাসপাতালে প্রেরন
করেন।
জানাযায়, নিহত আবদুল আলিম লক্ষীপুর জেলার রামগঞ্জ উপজেলার আসাকোটা এলাকার দোরালী শেখ বাড়ির মৃত- শামছুল হকের ছেলে এবং
গুরত্বর আহত মোঃ মানিক একই এলাকার বেপারী বাড়ির ইউসুফ বেপারীর ছেলে। পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে দূঘর্টনার স্বীকার সিএনজি (আটো রিক্সা) ও মটর সাইকেল টি উদ্ধার করে থানায় নিয়ে আসে।
ফরিদগঞ্জ থানার তদন্ত (ওসি) মো. বাহার মিয়া জানান, পুলিশ ঘটাস্থল থেকে সিএনজি ও মোটর সাইকেল উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে এবং লাশ মর্গে প্রেরণের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।
