সুনামগঞ্জের জগন্নাথপুরে যাত্রীবাহী মিনিবাস ও মালবাহী ট্রাকের মধ্যে মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
২৮ আগস্ট শনিবার জগন্নাথপুর পৌর সদরের মাদ্রাসা পয়েন্টে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। সংঘর্ষে মিনিবাসের সামনের গ্লাস ভাংচুর হয়েছে। এতে বাস চালক জুবায়ের মিয়া ও মহিলা যাত্রী অনুভূতি বিশ্বাস গুরুতর আহত হন। আহতদের মধ্যে মহিলা যাত্রীকে জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে চিকিৎসা দেয়া হয়।
খবর পেয়ে জগন্নাথপুর থানার এসআই রফিকুল ইসলামের নেতৃত্বে থানা পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থল পরিদর্শন করেছে। এ সময় গাড়ি চালকদের মধ্যে অনেকে জানান, মিনিবাসের ব্রেক ফেল করায় এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
