দেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় ২৬৭ জন ডেঙ্গু রোগী বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এর মধ্যে রাজধানী ঢাকার সরকারি-বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে ২১৭ জন এবং ঢাকার বাইরের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ৫০ জন রয়েছেন। রোগীর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে এক হাজার ৯০ জনে।
এদিকে এ বছরের শুরু থেকে আজ পর্যন্ত ডেঙ্গুতে মারা গেছেন ৪০ জন। স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তারের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুমের নিয়মিত ডেঙ্গুবিষয়ক প্রতিবেদনে আজ বৃহস্পতিবার বিকালে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়।
বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়েছে, ‘গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় সারাদেশের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত হয়ে নতুন ২৬৭ জন ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এ নিয়ে বর্তমানে দেশের বিভিন্ন সরকারি ও বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে সর্বমোট ভর্তি থাকা রোগীর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে এক হাজার ৯০ জনে। ঢাকার ৪১টি সরকারি-বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে ভর্তি আছেন ৯৬৫ জন এবং অন্যান্য বিভাগের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ১২৫ জন।’
এতে আরো বলা হয়, ‘বছরের শুরু থেকে আজ পর্যন্ত হাসপাতালে মোট রোগী ভর্তি হয়েছেন ৯ হাজার ১২০ জন। তাদের মধ্যে সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন সাত হাজার ৯৮৮ জন রোগী। ডেঙ্গুতে চলতি বছর মোট ৪০ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।’
