রাজধানীর বাসাবো সবুজবাগ এলাকায় চোর সন্দেহে এক যুবককে পিটিয়ে হত্যা করা হয়েছে।
বৃহস্পতিবার রাতে বাসাবো খেলার মাঠসংলগ্ন একটি নির্মাণাধীন ভবনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
সবুজবাগ থানার এসআই ইব্রাহিম খলিল জানান, নিহত যুবকের নাম হৃদয়। বয়স আনুমানিক ২৭ বছর। স্থানীয়রা ‘চোর সন্দেহে’ তাকে ধরে পিটিয়ে জখম করে।
খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে ওই যুবককে উদ্ধার করে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায়। সেখানে চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য হৃদয়ের লাশ হাসপাতাল মর্গে রাখা হয়েছে।
