‘বঙ্গমাতা সংকটে সংগ্রামে নির্ভীক সহযাত্রী’ প্রতিপাদ্য বিষয়ের আলোকে পটুয়াখালীর গলাচিপায় শেখ ফজিলাতুন্নেছা মুজিবের ৯১তম জন্মবার্ষিকী পালন করা হয়েছে। এ উপলক্ষে উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে আলোচনা সভা ও দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। রবিবার সকাল ১০টায় মহিলা ও শিশু বিষয়ক মন্ত্রণালয়ের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে উপজেলা পরিষদ মিলনায়তনে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অনুষ্ঠানের সাথে যুক্ত হন উপজেলা প্রশাসন।
উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার আশিষ কুমারের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত আলোচনা সভায় প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন উপজেলা পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মুহম্মদ সাহিন। বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন উপজেলা আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতি অধ্যাপক সন্তোষ দে, সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) মো. নজরুল ইসলাম ও উপজেলা পরিষদের মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান ওয়ানা মার্জিয়া নিতু। আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন সরকারি কর্মকর্তা, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা, জনপ্রতিনিধি, শিক্ষক, গণমাধ্যম কর্মী ও উপকারভোগীরা ।
আলোচনা সভা শেষে সাত জন উপকারভোগীর মাঝে শেলাই মেশিন বিতরণ ও চার জন অস্বচ্ছল অসহায় ব্যক্তির মাঝে তাদের মোবাইলে নগদের মাধ্যমে দুই হাজার টাকা প্রদান করা হয়। দোয়া মোনাজাতের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠান শেষ হয়।
