কালকিনিতে প্রতিহিংশার জেরে সাঁকো ভেঙ্গে দিয়েছে দৃর্বৃত্তরা’ যাতায়াত ব্যবস্থা বন্ধ
মাদারীপুরের কালকিনিতে প্রতিহিংশার জেরে নুরুল ইসলাম নামে এক শিক্ষকের বাড়ির পাশে নির্মিত সাঁকোটি ভেঙ্গে ফেলেছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। এতে করে ওই এলাকার সাধারন মানুষের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থ্য সম্পুর্নরুপে বিছিন্ন হয়ে পড়েছে। এ নিয়ে গত তিন দিন ধরে চরম দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হচ্ছে স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসীর।
সরেজমিন ও ভুক্তভোগীর অভিযোগ সুত্রে জানাগেছে, উপজেলার রমজান এলাকার দক্ষিন চড়াইকান্দি গ্রামের উপর দিয়ে বয়ে গেছে একটি খাল। ওই এলাকার সাধারন মানুষ বছরের পর বছর ধরে গামছা পরিধান করে এক গলা পানি সাতরে প্রতিদিন খাল পাড় হত। এ জনদুর্ভোগের বিষয়টি দেখে রমজানপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান মোঃ ইউনুস আলী বেশ কিছুদিন আগে তার নিজ অর্থায়নে মানুষের পারাপারের জন্য শিক্ষক নুরুল ইসলামের বাড়িরে পাশে ওই খালের উপর একটি বাঁশের সাঁকো নির্মান করে দেন। এরপর প্রতিদিন ওই সাঁকো পার হয়ে এলাকাবাসী হাট-বাজারসহ বিভিন্নস্থানে যাতায়াত করতো। কিন্তু প্রতিহিংশার জের ধরে তিনদিন আগে ভোররাতে ওই সাঁকোটি দা দিয়ে কুপিয়ে ভেঙ্গেচুরে সম্পুর্নভাবে গুড়িয়ে দিয়েছে একদল দুর্বৃত্তরা। এত করে ওই গ্রামবাসির যাতায়াত ব্যবস্থা সম্পুর্নভাবে বন্ধ রয়েছে।
স্থানীয় এলাকাবাসী মাসুদুর রহমান, ওলিল বেপারী ও খলিল বেপারীসহ বেশ কয়েকজন বলেন, প্রতিহিংশার জেরে আমাদের খালের উপর নির্মিত সাঁকোটি গুড়িয়ে দিয়েছে হাকিম চৌকিদার, তার ছেলে পলাশ ও মুহিনসহ বেশ কেয়কজন লোক। এ বর্ষায় সাকোঁ ভেঙ্গে ফেলায় এবং খালেরপানি অতিরিক্ত বৃদ্ধি পাওয়ায় খাল পার হতে না পেরে অসুস্থ্য মানুষ ওষুধ পর্যন্ত কিনতে পারছেনা। আমরা তাদের বিচার চাই।
তবে অভিযুক্ত হাকিমের ছেলে পলাশ ঘটনা অস্বীকার করেন।
রমজানপুর ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান মোঃ ইউনুস আলী বলেন, সাঁকো যারাই গুড়িয়ে দেক না কেন পূনরায় ওই খালে সাঁকো নির্মান করে দেয়া হবে।
এ ব্যাপারে কলকিনি থানার উপপরিদর্শক (এসআই) সুমন বলেন, এখন পর্যন্ত থানায় কোন অভিযোগ পাইনি। তবে অভিযোগ পেলে তদন্ত সাপেক্ষে ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে।
