মাদারীপুরে সাংবাদিক সংগঠন মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টার এর উদ্যোগে মাস্ক বিতরণ
মহামারী করোনা ভাইরাস প্রতিরোধে মাদারীপুরে সাংবাদিক সংগঠন ‘মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টার’ এর উদ্যোগে ও বাংলাদেশ কেমিস্ট এন্ড ড্রাগিস্ট সমিতি মাদারীপুর জেলা শাখার সাধারণ সম্পাদক মোঃ সাকিব হাসান এর সৌজন্যে শহরের বিভিন্নস্থানে পাঁচ শতাধিক মাস্ক বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। সোমবার (২৬ জুলাই)শহরের ইটেরপুল এলাকায় এই মাস্ক বিতরণ কর্মসূচীর উদ্বোধন করেন সংগঠনটির সভাপতি ও সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক মাহবুবুর রহমান বাদল।
পরে ইটেরপুল বাজার,পুরাতন কোর্টের মোড়, শকুনি লেকপাড়, বটতলাসহ শহরের কয়েকটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণস্থানে ব্যবসায়ী,মোটরসাইকেল চালক, ইজিবাইক চালক, রিকশাচালক ও পথচারীসহ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণী পেশাজীবী মানুষের মধ্যে এই মাস্ক বিতরণ করা হয়।
এসময় অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টারের ভারপ্রাপ্ত সাধারণ সম্পাদক মেহেদী হাসান সোহাগ, যুগ্ন সাধারণ সম্পাদক আরিফুর রহমান মোল্লা,সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক মহিবুল আহসান লিমন, কোষাধ্যক্ষ মাসুদুর রহমান সরদার, দপ্তর সম্পাদক ইমদাদুল হক মিলন, সিনিয়র কার্যকরী সদস্য অজয় কুণ্ডু, সদস্য শাহাদাত হোসেন জুয়েল, নাজমুল মোড়ল, বিধান মজুমদার সহ অন্যান্যরা ।
এই ধরনের সামাজিক কর্মকাণ্ড ভবিষ্যতেও অব্যাহত থাকবে বলে জানান সংগঠনটির ভারপ্রাপ্ত সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও বাংলাটিভির জেলা প্রতিনিধি মেহেদী হাসান সোহাগ।
উল্লেখ্য, মৈত্রী মিডিয়া সেন্টার মহামারী করোনার শুরু থেকে বিভিন্ন সময়ে অসহায় মানুষের মাঝে মাস্ক বিতরণের পাশাপাশি খাদ্য সহায়তা দিয়ে এসেছে। এছাড়া সংগঠটির উদ্যোগে শীতের সময়ে অসহায় মানুষদের মধ্যে শীতবস্ত্র বিতরণ এবং বিভিন্ন সময়ে সামাজিক কার্যক্রম করে থাকে।
