চাঁদপুরে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় করোনা ও উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরো ১৪ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। চাঁদপুর ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট জেনারেল হাসপাতালে করোনা ওয়ার্ডে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় এই ১৪ জন মারা যান। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে এমন তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন হাসপাতালের আবাসিক মেডিকেল অফিসার ও করোনা বিষয়ক ফোকাল পার্সন ডা. সুজাউদ্দৌলা রুবেল। তিনি আরো জানান, আক্রান্তদের শ্বাসকষ্ট বেশি থাকায় অক্সিজেনের পরিমাণ দ্রুত হ্রাস পায়। ফলে সর্বোচ্চ চেষ্টা করেও তাদের রক্ষা করা যায়নি।
এদিকে, জেলা সিভিল সার্জন ডা. সাখাওয়াত উল্লাহ জানান, গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় জেলায় নতুন করে করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ৪৪৯ জন। ৯৪৩ জনের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করে এদের মধ্যে করোনা পজিটিভ ধরা পড়ে। এতে আক্রান্তের হার ৪৭.৬১ শতাংশ।
চাঁদপুর ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট জেনারেল হাসপাতালে করোনা ওয়ার্ডে যে ১৪ জন মারা গেছেন তারা হচ্ছেন-
ফরিদগঞ্জ উপজেলার বদরপুর গ্রামের হোসনে আরা (৭০), গাজীপুর গ্রামের বাবুল মিয়া (৪৫), ঘনিয়ার মো. সফিউল্লাহ (৮০), দক্ষিণ কেরোয়া গ্রামের রাশিদা বেগম (৭০), চাঁদপুর শহরের কয়লাঘাটের রোকেয়া বেগম (৭৫), সদর উপজেলার কুমুরিয়া গ্রামের কবির হোসেন (৬৫), দাসাদীর রহিমা বেগম (৬০), আলগীপাঁচগাঁওয়ের শামছুল হক (৭০), উত্তর তরপুরচন্ডী গ্রামের আব্দুর রব কাজী (৮০), হাজীগঞ্জ উপজেলার ধড্ডা গ্রামের নূরজাহান বেগম (৩৫), ছয়ছিলা গ্রামের রহিমা খাতুন (৪০), শাহরাস্তি উপজেলার কালিয়াপাড়ার আলী আজম (৭০), মতলব দক্ষিণ উপজেলার উপাদী গ্রামের রানু বেগম (৫৫) এবং মতলব উত্তর উপজেলার দশানী এলাকার মোহন মিয়া (৭০)। এদের মধ্যে হোসনে আরা ফরিদগঞ্জ প্রেসক্লাবের সভাপতি মো. কামরুজ্জামানের শাশুড়ি।
চাঁদপুর ২৫০ শয্যা বিশিষ্ট জেনারেল হাসপাতালে মুমূর্ষু রোগীদের জীবন রক্ষায় গতকাল বুধবার সেন্ট্রাল অক্সিজেন প্লান্ট থেকে করোনা ওয়ার্ডে অক্সিজেন সরবরাহ শুরু হয়েছে। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে যাদের শ্বাসকষ্ট তেমন জটিল নয় তারা এরইমধ্যে সুফল পেতে শুরু করেছেন। এতে বেশকিছু রোগী দ্রুত সুস্থ হয়ে উঠেছেন বলে দাবি করেছেন সংশ্লিষ্ট চিকিৎসকরা।
এদিকে, চাঁদপুরে এই পর্যন্ত করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন, ১১ হাজার ৪৪৮ জন। আর করোনা পজিটিভ নিয়ে মারা গেছেন ১৮২ জন। একই সঙ্গে উপসর্গ নিয়ে আরো প্রায় ৫০০ জন।
