মেহেরপুরের গাংনীতে সাপের কামড়ে নাজেরা খাতুন নামের এক গৃহবধূ মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
সোমবার(২৬ জুলাই) খোরে তার মৃত্যু হয়।নিহত নাজেরা খাতুন উপজেলার ধানখোলা ইউনিয়ানের আড়পাড়া গ্রামের বাজার পাড়া মসজিদের মোয়াজ্জিন খলিল হোসেনের স্ত্রী।
স্থানীয়রা জানায়, নাজেরা রবিবার দিবাগত রাতে ঘরে ঘুমিয়ে ছিল। মধ্যরাতে তাকে বিষধর সাপে কামড় দিলে,চিৎকার শুরু করে। এ সময় প্রতিবেশীরা তাকে উদ্ধার করে, প্রথমে স্থানীয় কবিরাজের কাছে নেয়। সেখানে তার শারীরিক অবস্থার অবনতি দেখা দিলে,গাংনী উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নেয়া হয়।
কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। নিহত নাজের খাতুনের দু’টি সন্তান রয়েছে।
