বুধবার (২১ জুলাই) বিকেলে আরাজি ডুমুরিয়া গ্রামে ঘটনাটি ঘটে।
জানা গেছে, উপজেলার সদর ইউনিয়নের আরাজি ডুমুরিয়া গ্রামের মফিজুল শেখের ছেলে সাজিয়াড়া সামছুল উলুম মদ্রাসার ছাত্র মাহিম (১০) এবং সিরাজুল শেখের মেয়ে ও সাজিয়াড়া মহিলা মাদ্রাসার ছাত্রী তাহা (৭) বিকেলে বাড়ির পাশে মসজিদের পুকুরে গোসল করতে যায়। পরে পরিবারের লোকজন তাদের খোঁজা-খুঁজির একপর্যায়ে পুকুর থেকে তাদের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে।
