নারায়ণগঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জে হাসেম ফুড কারখানার আগুন এখনও নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসেনি। কারখানার চারতলায় আগুন জ্বলতে দেখা গেছে। আগুনের লেলিহান শিখা চারদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে।
শুক্রবার (৯ জুলাই) সকাল ৮টায় এ প্রতিবেদন লেখা পর্যন্ত আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে কাজ করছে ডেমরা, কাঞ্চন, আড়াইহাজার ও নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার মোট ১৮টি ফায়ার সার্ভিসের ইউনিট।
অগ্নিকাণ্ডে এ পর্যন্ত স্বপ্না আক্তার (৪৫), মীনা আক্তার (৪১) ও মোরসালিন (২৮) নামে তিনজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। তবে ৭০ থেকে ৮০ জন শ্রমিক এখনও ওই ভবনের ভেতরে রয়েছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন অন্যান্য শ্রমিক ও নিখোঁজের স্বজনরা।
নিখোঁজ শ্রমিকদের স্বজন ও প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা বলেন, ছয়তলা ভবনটির মধ্যে চতুর্থতলার শ্রমিকরা কেউ বের হতে পারেননি। সিকিউরিটি ইনচার্জ চারতলার কেচি গেটটি বন্ধ করে রাখায় কোনো শ্রমিকই বের হতে পারেননি। সেখানে ৭০ থেকে ৮০ জন শ্রমিক কাজ করতেন।
চতুর্থতলার শ্রমিকদের ইনচার্জ মাহবুব, সুফিয়া, তাকিয়া, আমেনা, রাহিমা, রিপন, কম্পা রানী, নাজমুল, মাহমুদ, ওমরিতা, তাছলিমাসহ প্রায় ৭০ থেকে ৮০ জন শ্রমিক নিখোঁজ রয়েছেন। নিখোঁজ শ্রমিকদের স্বজনরা কারখানার সামনে এসে ভিড় করছেন। তাদের আহাজারিতে কারখানার চারপাশ ভারী হয়ে উঠেছে।
স্বজনরা অভিযোগ করে জানান, কারখানা কর্তৃপক্ষের অবহেলায় কারখানায় অগ্নিকাণ্ড ঘটেছে। আগুন লাগার পরও কারখানা কর্তৃপক্ষ কেচি গেটের তালা না খোলায় শ্রমিকরা বের হতে পারেননি।
কাঞ্চন ফায়ার সার্ভিসের ইনচার্জ শাহ আলম বলেন, মধ্যরাতে আগুন কিছুটা নিয়ন্ত্রণে এলেও সকাল ৬টার দিকে আবার কারখানার চারতলায় আগুন বাড়তে থাকে। আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণের আগপর্যন্ত কিছু বলা যাচ্ছে না।
এর আগে বৃহস্পতিবার (৮ জুলাই) বিকেল ৫টার দিকে উপজেলার কর্ণগোপ এলাকায় অবস্থিত ওই কারখানায় এ অগ্নিকাণ্ড ঘটে।
