মাদারীপুরের কালকিনিতে বজ্রপাতে এক কৃষকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। আজ রবিবার (৪ জুলাই ) দুপুরে বজ্রপাতে মোঃ রেজাউল করিম সরদার (৪০) নামের ঐ ব্যক্তি নিহত হন। খবর পেয়ে নিহত পরিবারের মাঝে নগদ ২০ হাজার টাকা ও প্রয়োজনীয় খাদ্য সামগ্রী প্রদান করেছে কালকিনি উপজেলা প্রশাসন।
পুলিশ ও এলাকাবাসী সুত্রে জানা যায়,মাদারীপুরের কালকিনি উপজেলার লক্ষীপুর ইউনিয়নের কোলচরি গ্রামের কৃষক মোঃ রেজাউল করিম সরদার বাড়ির পাশের জমিতে পাঁট কাঁটতে যান।পাঁট কেটে বাড়ি ফেরার সময় বজ্রপাতে তার মৃত্যু হয়। নিহত কৃষক মোঃ রেজাউল করিম সরদার আঃ সত্তার সরদারের ছেলে । নিহতের খবর পেয়ে কালকিনি উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মোঃ মেহেদী হাসান ও উপজেলা প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন কর্মকর্তা মোঃ মোস্তফা কামাল নিহতের বাড়ি গিয়ে পরিবারের হাতে নগদ বিশ হাজার টাকা এবং চাল,ডাল, আলু,তেল ও আটা সহ নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় সামগ্রী সহায়তা প্রদান করেন।
পরে উপজেলা প্রশাসন হতে বৈরী আবহাওয়ার সময় জনসাধারণকে ঘরের বাহিরে বের না হওয়ার জন্য বলা হয়।
