সুনামগঞ্জের জগন্নাথপুরে চলছে কঠোর লক ডাউন। লক ডাউন নিশ্চিতে গত ৩ দিন ধরে মাঠে রয়েছে উপজেলা প্রশাসন, থানা পুলিশ ও সেনাবাহিনী। ১ জুলাই থেকে দ্বিতীয় বারের মতো দেশে ৭ দিনের কঠোর লক ডাউন চলছে। কঠোর লক ডাউনের কারণে প্রায় জনশুন্য হয়ে পড়েছে জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলা।
এছাড়া প্রথম দিন থেকে ৩ জুলাই শনিবার পর্যন্ত লক ডাউনের কারণে জগন্নাথপুর-সিলেট ও জগন্নাথপুর-সুনামগঞ্জ লাইনে কোন দুর পাল্লার যানবাহন চলাচল করেনি। সব ধরণের অফিস ও দোকানপাট রয়েছে বন্ধ। হাট-বাজারে জন সমাগম দেখা যায় অনেক কম। প্রশাসনের কঠোরতায় ও নতুন করোনা রোগীর সংখ্যা বেড়ে যাওয়ার ভয়ে ব্যস্ততম পৌর পয়েন্ট সহ বিভিন্ন জনগুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থান রীতিমতো রয়েছে ফাঁকা। এসব স্থানে লক ডাউনের আগে লোকে লোকারণ্য হয়ে থাকতো।
যদিও দিনের বেলা কিছু মানুষের চলাচল দেখা গেলেও সন্ধ্যার পর প্রায় জনশুন্য হয়ে পড়ে পুরো জগন্নাথপুর উপজেলা। এর মধ্যে দিনের বেলা কিছু সংখ্যাক ছোট যানবাহন লোকচুরি করে চলাচল করছে। সাথে কিছু দোকানপাট খোলা থাকতে দেখা যায়। প্রশাসন দেখলেই তা বন্ধ হয়ে যায়।
