করোনা সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে লাখাই উপজেলায় চলছে লকডাউনের প্রথম দিন। লকডাউন বাস্তবায়নে কঠোর অবস্থানে রয়েছে সেনাবাহিনী, পুলিশ ও প্রশাসন । বৃহস্পতিবার (১ জুলাই) থেকে শুরু হওয়া টানা ৭ দিনের লকডাউনে লাখাইয়ে ফার্মেসি, কাঁচাবাজার ও নিত্যপণ্যের দোকান ব্যতীত সকল দোকান বন্ধ রয়েছে। হাটবাজারে লোক সমাগম খুব কম। উপজেলায় যান চলাচল বন্ধ রয়েছে। কেবল গ্রামের ভিতরের রাস্তায় চলছে সীমিত সংখ্যক রিকসা।
লকডাউন নিশ্চিত করতে লাখাই উপজেলার বুল্লাবাজার, কালাউক বাজার, বামৈবাজার, লাখাই বাজারসহ সকল হাটবাজারে সেনাবাহিনী ও পুলিশের টহল চলছে। এছাড়া চলছে নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটের নেতৃত্বে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের অভিযান। উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা লসিকান্ত হাজং নেতৃত্বে চলমান রয়েছে অভিযান ও হাটবাজার তদারকি।
লাখাই থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ মোঃ সাইদুল ইসলাম জানান, মেজর তানভীরের নেতৃত্বে সেনাবাহিনী লাখাইয়ে টহল দিচ্ছে সাথে আমামার পুলিশ সদস্য রয়েছে । নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মো. আশাদুল হকের নেতৃত্বে ভ্রাম্যমান আদালতের অভিযান চলছে। লাখাই উপজেলার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পয়েন্ট ও হাট-বাজারে সার্বক্ষণিক পুলিশ মোতায়েন রয়েছে। তিনি আরো সরকারি নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী দোকান খোলা ও বন্ধ এবং মাস্ক পরিধান নিশ্চিতে করতে হাট বাজারে ও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থানে আমাদের পুলিশ মোতায়েন রয়েছে।
নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট মোঃ আসাদুল হক সাথে আলাপকালে তিনি জানান মাস্ক পরিধান না করায় ও সরকারি নির্দেশনা অমান্য করে দোকান কোথায় তিন দোকানিকে পনেরশো টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়েছে। লকডাউন বাস্তবায়নে প্রশাসনের পক্ষ থেকে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত পরিচালনার পাশাপাশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ স্থানে বসানো হয়েছে লাখাই থানা পুলিশের চেকপোস্ট। । অতি জরুরি প্রয়োজনে রাস্তায় এসে যানবাহন না পেয়ে বিপাকেও পড়েছেন অনেকেই।
করোনা সংক্রমণরোধে এই লকডাউনের প্রশংসার পাশাপাশি লাখাইয়ের ও হতদরিদ্রদের খাবারের বিষয়ে নজর দেওয়ার দাবি জানিয়েছেন সিএনজি ও অটো রিকশাচালকরা।
