সপ্তাহের প্রথম কার্যদিবসে আজ রোববার বড় দরপতনে লেনদেন হচ্ছে দেশের দুই শেয়ারবাজারে। সকাল ১০টায় লেনদেন শুরুর পর থেকে ৮০ শতাংশের বেশি শেয়ার দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছে।
বেলা সাড়ে ১১টায় প্রধান শেয়ারবাজার ডিএসইতে তালিকাভুক্ত ৩৭৮ শেয়ার ও মিউচুয়াল ফান্ডের মধ্যে ৩৭০টি কেনাবেচায় এসেছে। এর মধ্যে মাত্র ৪৯টি দর বেড়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছিল। বিপরীতে দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছিল ৩০৬টি। এ সময় দর অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় কেনাবেচা হতে দেখা গেছে ১৫টি শেয়ারকে।
সিংহভাগ শেয়ারের দরপতনের কারণে ডিএসইর প্রধান সূচক ডিএসইএক্স ৬৮ পয়েন্ট হারিয়ে ৬ হাজার ২৪ পয়েন্টে অবস্থান করছিল। এ সময় সূচক পতনের হার ছিল ১ দশমিক ১২ শতাংশ। যদিও ১১টা ১১ মিনিটে সূচকটি ৯১ পয়েন্ট হারিয়ে ৬০০০.৯৯ পয়েন্টে নেমেছিল।
পর্যালোচনায় দেখা গেছে, ব্যাংক খাতের শেয়ারের দরপতনই সূচকের এতটা পতনের বড় কারণ। বেলা সাড়ে ১১টায় ব্যাংক খাতের কারণে সূচক কমেছিল ১৯ পয়েন্ট। ওষুধ ও রসায়ন খাতের কারণে ৯ পয়েন্ট, প্রকৌশল খাতের কারণে ৭ পয়েন্ট, বিবিধ খাতের কারণে প্রায় ৮ পয়েন্ট, আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠান খাতের কারণে প্রায় ৭ পয়েন্ট, বীমা খাতের কারণে সাড়ে ৪ পয়েন্ট সূচক হারিয়েছিল।
বিভিন্ন ব্রোকারেজ হাউসের কর্মকর্তারা জানান, তারা মনে করছেন এ দরপতনের কারণ নতুন করে দেশব্যাপী ‘লকডাউন’ ঘোষণার প্রভাব।
দরপতনের আতঙ্কে অনেক বিনিয়োগকারী লোকসান কমানোর চেষ্টায় আগেভাগে শেয়ার বিক্রি করছেন। এতে দরপতন বেড়েছে। তবে লেনদেনের প্রথম ঘণ্টা শেষে দেখা গেছে, দরপতন সত্ত্বেও তেমন কোনো শেয়ার বিক্রেতা শূন্য অবস্থা হয়নি।
বরং আতঙ্কে যখন কিছু বিনিয়োগকারী কম দামে শেয়ার বিক্রি করছেন, সে সুযোগে কৌশলী বিনিয়োগকারীদের কেউ কেউ শেয়ার কিনছেন বলেও মনে করছেন ব্রোকারেজ হাউসের কর্মকর্তারা।
নতুন করে করোনাভাইরাস সংক্রমণ বেড়ে যাওয়ায় সরকার চলতি বিধি-নিষেধ আরো কঠোর করে চলাচলে ব্যাপক কড়াকড়ি আরোপ করার ঘোষণা দিয়েছে।
আগামীকাল সোমবার থেকে কঠোর লকডাউন শুরুর কথা থাকলেও শেষ মুহূর্তে রোববার সন্ধ্যায় তা পরিবর্তন করে ১ জুলাই থেকে কার্যকরের ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়েছে। একই সঙ্গে সোমবার থেকে জন চলাচলে চলতি বিধি-নিষেধ আরো কঠোর করা হবে। সংশ্লিষ্টরা বলছেন, করোনা সংক্রমণ রুখতে এ বিধি-নিষেধ আগের যেকোনো সময়ের তুলনায় কঠোর হতে পারে।
এদিকে এ খবরের প্রভাব পর্যালোচনায় দেখা যাচ্ছে, শেয়ারবাজারে সব খাতেরই সিংহভাগ শেয়ারের দরপতন হয়েছে। বড় খাতগুলোর মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বেশি দরপতন হয়েছে আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠান খাতে। এ খাতের লেনদেন হওয়া ২২ শেয়ারের মধ্যে ২০টিই দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছে। গড়ে সব শেয়ার দর হারিয়েছে ২.১১ শতাংশ।
বীমা খাতের লেনদেনে আসা ৪৯ শেয়ারের মধ্যে ৩৯টি দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হতে দেখা গেছে। গড় দরপতনের হার ১.০৫ শতাংশ। ব্যাংক খাতের ৩১ কোম্পানির মধ্যে ২৭টি দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছিল। গড় দরপতনের হার ১.০৩ শতাংশ।
বস্ত্র খাতের ৫৮ শেয়ারের মধ্যে ৩টি দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হতে দেখা গেছে, এ সময় দর বেড়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছিল ২১ শেয়ার। অন্য সব খাত একই অবস্থায়।
দরপতন সত্ত্বেও খাতওয়ারি লেনদেনে এগিয়ে বস্ত্র খাত। বেলা সাড়ে ১১টা পর্যন্ত লেনদেনের প্রথম দেড় ঘণ্টায় ডিএসইতে ৫৬৬ কোটি টাকার শেয়ার কেনাবেচা হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে ১৯৫ কোটি টাকার লেনদেন, যা মোটের ৩২.৩১ শতাংশই ছিল বস্ত্র খাতের। গত বৃহস্পতিবার এ খাতের লেনদেন ছিল মোটের ২৭.৮৯ শতাংশ।
খাতওয়ারি লেনদেন আজ দ্বিতীয় সর্বোচ্চ স্থানে বীমা খাত। বেলা সাড়ে ১১টা পর্যন্ত এ খাতের ৭২ কোটি টাকার শেয়ার কেনাবেচা হতে দেখা গেছে, যা মোট লেনদেনের ১১.৯৫ শতাংশ।
ব্যাপক দরপতনের মধ্যে ৯ কোম্পানির শেয়ার সার্কিট ব্রেকারের সর্বোচ্চ দরে বা এর কাছাকাছি দরে (৯ থেকে ১০ শতাংশ বেশি দরে) কেনাবেচা হচ্ছে। শেয়ারগুলো হলো- বিডি মনোস্পুল পেপার, তমিজুদ্দিন টেক্সটাইল, মুন্নু ফেব্রিক্স, সোনারগাঁও টেক্সটাইল, অলিম্পিক এক্সেসরিজ, আর্গন ডেনিম, মতিন স্পিনিং এবং কুইন সাউথ টেক্সটাইল।
এর মধ্যে প্রথম চারটি ওটিসি থেকে আসা চার কোম্পানি। টানা ১১তম দিনে এসেও এসব শেয়ার সার্কিট ব্রেকারের সর্বোচ্চ দরে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছে।
বিপরীতে সোয়া ৭ শতাংশ দর হারিয়ে দরপতনের শীর্ষে দেখা গেছে বাংলাদেশ ন্যাশনাল ইন্স্যুরেন্সকে।
প্রায় ৭ শতাংশ দর হারিয়ে দরপতনের এ পরের অবস্থানে ছিল সী পার্ল হোটেল অ্যান্ড রিসোর্ট। ৬ শতাংশের ওপর দর হারিয়ে কেনাবেচা হচ্ছিল রিপাবলিক ইন্স্যুরেন্স।
