পাথরঘাটা (বরগুনা) প্রতিনিধি: বরগুনার পাথরঘাটায় ক্ষত বিক্ষত অবস্থায় ১টি মৃত্যু হরিণকে উদ্ধার করেছে পাথরঘাটা উপজেলার হরিণঘাটা বন কর্মকর্তা । ঘূর্ণিঝড় ইয়াসের প্রভাবে এবং পূর্ণিমার জোয়ারের পানির চাপে হরিণঘাটা বনাঞ্চল থেকে বাঁচার জন্য সাঁতরে তীরে আসে একটি মাদি হরিণ। সেখান এসে দুটি কুকুরের আক্রমণে মারা যায় হরিণটি।
হরিনঘাটা বিট কর্মকর্তা গোলাম কাওসার জানান, বুধবার বিকেল সাড়ে পাঁচটার দিকে বরগুনার পাথরঘাটার হরিণঘাটা বনাঞ্চল থেকে সাঁতার কেটে একটি হরিণ পশ্চিম চরলাঠিমারা গ্রামে প্রবেশ করে। স্থানীয়রা সেখান থেকে হরিনটি উদ্ধার করার আগেই সেখানে অবস্থান করা দুটি কুকুরের হরিণটির উপর আক্রমণ করে হরিনটি গুরুত্বর আহত হয়।
তিনি আরো জানান, স্থানীয়দের থেকে সংবাদ পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে হরিনটি উদ্ধার করে পাথরঘাটা উপজেলা পশু সম্প্রসারণ অধিদপ্তর হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসার পূর্বে হরিনটি মারা যায়।
পাথরঘাটা উপজেলার প্রাণিসম্পদ অধিদপ্তরের কর্মকর্তা ডাক্তার অরবিন্দ দাস জানান, হরিণটির শরীরের বিভিন্ন স্থানে কামড়ের চিহ্ন রয়েছে। গুরুতর আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হওয়ায় হরিনটি মারা গিয়েছে।
