বরগুনায় দুই সন্তানের জননীকে জোড়পূর্বক ধর্ষণের অভিযোগ উঠেছে এক ইউপি সদস্যের বিরুদ্ধে। অভিযুক্ত মোঃ কবির বরগুনা সদর উপজেলার ০৭ নং ঢলুয়া ইউনিয়নের ০৩ নং ওয়ার্ডের ইউপি সদস্য।
জানা যায়, কবির মেম্বার তার প্রতিবেশী সেই সুবাদে বিভিন্ন সময়ে তাকে উত্যক্ত করতো এবং কু-প্রস্তাব দিতো। বিষয়টি ওই নারী তার স্বামীকে জানান। কিন্তু কবির মেম্বার বিভিন্ন ভয়ভীতি দেখিয়ে বিষয়টি ধামা চাপা দেয়ার চেষ্টা করে।
ঘটনার দিন১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর রাতে ওই নারী তার দুই সন্তান নিয়ে ঘরে ছিলেন,তার স্বামী পেশায় একজন জেলে হওয়ায় তিনি মাছ ধরার জন্য নদীতে ছিলেন। এই সুযোগে কবির ঘরে ডুকে বিভিন্ন ভাবে তাকে যৌন হয়রানি করতে থাকে ওই নারী চিৎকার চেচামেচী শুরু করলে মুখে বালিশ চাপা দেয় এবং হত্যার ভয় দেখিয়ে জোড়পূর্বক ধর্ষণ করে।
এক পর্যায়ে ওই নারীর চিৎকারে আশে পাশের লোকজন চলে আসে, লোকজনের উপস্থিতি টের পেয়ে কবির মেম্বার সেখান থেকে দ্রুত পালিয়ে যায়। স্থানীয় লোকজন ওই নারীকে আহত অবস্থায় উদ্ধার করে।
প্রত্যক্ষদর্শী এক নারী জানান, ঘটনার রাতে ওই নারীর চিৎকার শুনে তারা তার বাড়িতে আসেন, বিভিন্ন দিক থেকে লোকজন আসার বিষয়টি টের পেয়ে কবির মেম্বার দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থল থেকে চলে যায় এবং পালিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় টর্চের আলোতে অভিযুক্ত কবিরকে দেখতে পায় এলাকার লোকজন।
আরো জানা যায়, কবির বিভিন্ন সময়ে সাধারণ মানুষকে হয়রানি করে,তার পালিত বাহিনী দিয়ে লোকজনকে মারধর চাঁদাবাজিসহ নানা রকমের অপরাধ মূলক কর্মকান্ডে জড়িত।
এব্যাপারে ০৭ নং ঢলুয়া ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান আজিজুল হক স্বপন বলেন ওই নারীর অভিযোগের বিষয়ে আমি অবগত আছি। অভিযোগ প্রমাণিত হলে অভিযুক্ত কবির মেম্বারের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হবে।
এই ঘটনায় ভুক্তভোগী ওই নারী বাদী হয়ে বরগুনা নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন ট্রাইবুনালে একটি ধর্ষণ মামলা দায়ের করেন।
