হীমেল মিত্র অপু, স্টাফ রিপোর্টার: বিএমএসএফ রংপুর জেলা সমন্বয়কারী ও সময় টিভির অাঞ্চলিক প্রধান রতন সরকারকে হত্যাচেষ্টার সাথে জড়িত দূর্বৃত্তদের গ্রেুপ্তার দাবি করা হয়েছে। হামলাকারী যেই হোকনা কেন আগামি ২৪ ঘন্টার মধ্যে গ্রেুপ্তার করে বিচারের মূখোমূখি দাঁড় করানোর আহবান করা যাচ্ছে। এর ব্যত্যয় ঘটলে সন্ত্রাসিদের প্রতিহত করতে বিএমএসএফসহ সাংবাদিকরা মাঠে নামতে বাধ্য হবেন।
আজ (২২ এপ্রিল ) বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে গণমাধ্যমে পাঠানো এক বিবৃতিতে বিএমএসএফের কেন্দ্রীয় সভাপতি শহীদুল ইসলাম পাইলট ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক আহমেদ আবু জাফর বলেন, সিসি ফুটেজে প্রতীয়মান যে রতন সরকারকে দ্বৈতপেশার সাংবাদিকরা হত্যা মিশনে নেমেছে। রতন সরকারকে যেভাবে মারধর করা হয়েছে তা মধ্যযুগীয় বর্বরতাকে হার মানায়।
রতন সরকার জানান, দুপুর দেড়টার দিকে রিকসাযোগে তিনি অফিসে পৌঁছলে পেছন থেকে জুয়েলের নেতৃত্বে একদল সন্ত্রাসি তাকে ঝাপটে ধরে এলোাপাথারি হামলা চালায়। এতে সে আহত হয়ে মাটিতে লুটিয়ে পড়েন। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানায়, গেরিলা স্টাইলে হত্যাচেষ্টা চালিয়ে ফোন, নগদ টাকাসহ গুরুত্বপূর্ন কাগজপত্র ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে রংপুর মেয়রের নিকট দ্রুত চলে যায়। এঘটনায় থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দায়ের করা হয়েছে।
