ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ায় কোরবানির পশুর মাংস কাটতে গিয়ে অন্তত ৬০ জন আহত হয়েছেন। বুধবার (২১ জুলাই) সকাল থেকে দুপুর পর্যন্ত জেলার বিভিন্ন স্থানে আহত হয়ে তারা হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা নিয়েছেন। এদের মধ্যে বেশ কয়েকজনের অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক।
হাসপাতালে আহত কামরুল নামের এক ব্যক্তি বলেন, ‘সকালে কোরবানির গরুর মাংস কাটার সময় অসাবধানতাবসত ছুরি লেগে হাত কেটে যায়। প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা নিয়ে চল যাবো।’
আজিজুল ইসলাম নামের আরও এক ব্যক্তি বলেন, ‘ঈদের সময় বাসায় গরুর মাংস কাটতে সহায়তা করি। গরুর হাড় কোপাতে গিয়ে চাপাতি পিছলে পায়ে লেগে আহত হয়েছি। তাই হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসা নিতে এসেছি।’
ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়া জেনারেল হাসপাতালের জরুরি বিভাগে কর্তব্যরত ডা. ধীমান দেবনাথ বলেন, ‘সকাল থেকে হাসপাতালে ৫০-৬০ জনের রোগী চিকিৎসা নিয়েছেন। তারা সবাই কোরবানির মাংস কাটতে গিয়ে আহত হন। সবাইকে প্রাথমিক চিকিৎসা দেয়া হয়েছে।’
