সারা বিশ্বে প্রাণঘাতি করোনা ভাইরাস এক আতঙ্কের নাম উল্লেখ্য করে দিনাজপুর সদর উপজেলার শংকরপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান মোঃ ইসহাক চৌধুরী বলেছেন, করোনা ভাইরাসের আতঙ্কিত না হয়ে সবারই প্রয়োজন সচেতনতা। সচেতনতার অভাবেই আজ করোনায় আক্রান্ত হচ্ছে হাজার হাজার মানুষ। আমাদের দেশেও আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা বেড়েই চলেছে। শহর থেকে প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামেও করোনা ভাইরাস আক্রমণ করেছে। বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে মানুষদের উদ্বেগ উৎকন্ঠার সীমা নেই। সবাই আতঙ্ক ও দুশ্চিন্তায় দিনাতিপাত করছেন। আতঙ্ক ও দুশ্চিন্তা করোনা থেকে রক্ষা করতে পারবে না। এই মহামারী থেকে রক্ষার একটিই পথ তা হলো আমাদের প্রত্যেককে সচেতন হয়ে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে অবশ্যই মাস্ক পড়তে হবে।
১২ জুলাই সোমবার দিনাজপুর সদর উপজেলার ৮নং শংকরপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উপহার জাতীয় সংসদের হুইপ ইকবালুর রহিম এমপির পক্ষে করোনা কালীন সময়ে কর্মহীন অসহায় দরিদ্র মানুষের মাঝে নগদ অর্থ বিতরণকালে শংকরপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান ও ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারন সম্পাদক মোঃ ইসহাক চৌধুরী এসব কথা বলেন।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন সদর উপজেলা সমবায় অফিসার ও টেক কর্মকর্তা মোঃ হাফিজুর ইসলাম, ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সচিব সুশীল চন্দ্র দাস, সদর উপজেলা স্বেচ্ছাসেবক লীগের সভাপতি মোঃ আব্দুস সালাম সরকার, ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের সদস্য/সদস্যাবৃন্দ।
অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতেই প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা, জাতীয় সংসদের হুইপ ইকবালুর রহিম এমপি, জেলা প্রশাসক খালেদ মোহাম্মদ জাকী, পুলিশ সুপার মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন বিপিএম,পিপিএম (বার), সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মর্তুজা আল মুঈদ সহ সারা বিশ্বের মানুষের সুস্বাস্থ্য ও মঙ্গল কামনা করে বিশেষ মোনাজাত পরিচালনা করেন শংকরপুর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান ও ইউনিয়ন আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারন সম্পাদক মোঃ ইসহাক চৌধুরী।
