সাংবাদিকদের সঠিক সংবাদ প্রকাশ করতে হবে বলে মন্তব্য করে নৌপরিবহন প্রতিমন্ত্রি খালিদ মাহমুদ চৌধুরী এমপি বলেন, অতীতের সরকারগুলো সাংবাদিকদের নিজেদের স্বার্থে ব্যবহার করার চেষ্টা করেছে । প্রধানমন্ত্রী সঠিক সংবাদ পরিবেশনের মধ্য দিয়ে যেন বাংলাদেশকে তুলে ধরা যায়। বাংলাদেশের জনগণ যেন দেশের বাস্তব চিত্র জানতে পারে। একটা সময় নেগেটিভ নিউজ বেশি আকর্ষণীয় সংবাদ হতো। ১২ বছরে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা বাংলাদেশকে যে প্রতিকূলতার মধ্য দিয়ে এগিয়ে নিয়ে গেছেন, যেই প্রতিকূল পরিস্থিতির মধ্যে সাহসিকতার সঙ্গে বাংলাদেশকে পৃথিবীতে মর্যাদার জায়গায় নিয়ে গেছেন।
আজ সকাল ১১ টায় শহরের গ্রীণ ভিউ কমিউনিটি সেন্টারে উত্তর বঙ্গের প্রাচীনতম দৈনিক পত্রিকা উত্তরার ৪৭তম প্রতিষ্ঠা বার্ষিকী অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে উপোরোক্ত কথা গুলি বলেন।

৪৭তম বর্ষপূর্তীতে আলোচনা সভায় আগে মঞ্চে অতিথিদের ফুল দিয়ে বরন করে নেয়া হয়।
