টাঙ্গাইলের কালিহাতী উপজেলায় গাছ থেকে পড়ে একজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
শনিবার (৫ জুন) সকাল ৯.১৫ মিনিটের দিকে উপজেলার নারান্দিয়া ইউনিয়নের নারান্দিয়া গ্রামে এ ঘটনা ঘটে৷ ওই গ্রামের ছামান আলীর ছেলে আব্দুল হামিদ মিয়া (৬০)।
নিহত আব্দুল হামিদের ভাই মিনহাজ তালুকদার জানা, আমার ভাই আব্দুল হামিদ মিয়া সকালে নিজ বাড়িতে মইয়ে উঠে গাছের ডাল কাটতে থাকেন। হঠাৎ গাছ থেকে ছেটকে মাটিতে পড়ে যান। গাছ থেকে পড়েই আব্দুল হামিদের হাড ব্লক হয়ে মারা যান।
এবিষয়ে কালিহাতী উপজেলার ৪ নং নারান্দিয়া ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান শুকুর মাহমুদ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন।
