জাহিদ রানা মোংলা (বাগেরহাট) প্রতিনিধি: মোংলা পোর্ট পৌরবাসীকে ঈদের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন পৌর মেয়র বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা শেখ আব্দুর রহমান। তিনি এক বার্তায় জানান, বৈশ্বিক মহামারী করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রকোপে সবার জীবন এখন সংকিত। তাই আসন্ন ঈদুল ফিতরে সরকারের নির্দেশনা মোতাবেক স্বাস্থ্য বিধি মেনে পবিত্র ঈদ-উল ফিতরের নামাজ আদায়সহ সকল আনন্দ উৎসব পালনের জন্য পৌরবাসীর প্রতি আহবাণ জানান।
এদিকে ঈদ উদযাপনের জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপহার হিসেবে পৌরসভার ৯ টি ওয়ার্ডে গরীব, দুস্থ ও অসহায় ৫১২১ টি পরিবারকে নগদ ৪৫০ টাকা করে ও ৫০০ পরিবারকে খাদ্য সামগ্রী বিতরণ করেছে পৌর মেয়র শেখ আব্দুর রহমান। অন্যদিকে তীব্র গরমে রমজান মাসে পৌর এলাকায় সুপেয় পানির চাহিদা পূরণে জনস্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের সহায়তায় দুইটি মোবাইল পানি বিশুদ্ধকরণ প্লান্ট দিয়ে সর্বত্র পানি সরবরাহ অব্যাহত রেখেছে পৌর কর্তৃপক্ষ ।
শেখ আব্দুর রহমান মেয়রের দায়িত্ব গ্রহণের কয়েক মাসের মধ্য পৌরবাসীর নাগরিক সুযোগ- সুবিধা প্রদাণে সর্বাত্মক প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। প্রথম শ্রেণীর পৌরসভা হিসেবে প্রাপ্ত সকল সুযোগ- সুবিধা নাগরিকদের যথাযথ ভাবে প্রদাণ করতে তিনি সর্বস্তরের সকল শ্রেনী পেশার মানুষদের সহযোগীতা কামনা করেছেন। পরিশেষে তিনি পৌরবাসীকে ঈদ শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়ে তিনি তার নিজের জন্যেও দোয়া চেয়েছেন।
