মৌলভীবাজারের কমলগঞ্জ উপজেলার মদনমোহনপুর চা বাগানে চার বছরের শিশুধর্ষণের চেষ্টাকারী মোহনলাল ভর (৩৫)-কে দীর্ঘ ২ মাস ১৬ দিন পলাতক থাকার পর কমলগঞ্জ থানার পুলিশ মাধবপুর চা বাগানের দক্ষিণ লাইন এলাকা থেকে আটক করেছে। আটক মোহনলালকে মৌলভীবাজার আদালতের মাধ্যমে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করা হয়েছে।
জানা যায়, মাধবপুর ইউনিয়নের মদনমোহনপুর চা বাগানের লছমিপাড়া শ্রমিক লাইনে মা বাবার অনুপস্থিতিতে ঘর ফাঁকা পেয়ে গত ১ জুলাই দুপুরে মাধবপুর চা বাগান এলাকার মোহনলাল ঘরে প্রবেশ করে ৪ বছরের এক শিশুকে চকলেট দিয়ে ধর্ষণের চেষ্টা করে। ঘটনার পর থেকেই মোহনলাল আত্মগোপন করেছিল। মোহনলাল ভর মাধবপুর চা বাগানের মৃত সীতারাম ভরের ছেলে।
এ ঘটনায় শিশুটির পিতা দীপক রিকিয়াশন ঘটনার পর দিন ২ জুলাই দুপুরে মোহনলাল ভরকে আসামী করে কমলগঞ্জ থানায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করেন। কমলগঞ্জ থানায় অভিযোগ দায়েরের পর পুলিশ আসামীকে আটকের জন্য তৎপরতা শুরু করে। অবশেষে প্রায় আড়াই মাস পর মোহনলাল তার বাড়িতে ফিরলে গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে কমলগঞ্জ থানার এসআই আমিনুল ইসলাম এর নেতৃত্বে এএসআই সিরাজুল ইসলাম অভিযান চালিয়ে শুক্রবার (১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর) সকাল ১০ টায় মাধবপুর চা বাগান থেকে আটক করে কমলগঞ্জ থানায় নিয়ে যায়। কমলগঞ্জ থানার এসআই আমিনুল ইসলাম মোহনলাল ভরকে আটক করে আদালতের মাধ্যমে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণের সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করেছেন
