জাতীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা (এনএসআই) ফেনীর উপপরিচালক ডিএম ইউছুফ হোসেন হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মারা গেছেন।
বৃহস্পতিবার (৯ সেপ্টেম্বর) সকাল ১০টা ৪৫ মিনিটে ফেনীর ন্যাশনাল হার্ট ফাউন্ডেশন হাসপাতাল অ্যান্ড রিসার্চ ইনস্টিটিউটে মারা যান তিনি। এর আগে সকালে তিনি হেঁটে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হন। মৃত্যুকালে তিনি দুই মেয়ে স্ত্রীসহ অসংখ্যগুনগ্রাহী রেখে গেছেন।
ন্যাশনাল হার্ট ফাউন্ডেশন হাসপাতালের ওয়ার্ড মাস্টার হাসান মাহমুদ মামুন জানান, সকাল ৯ টা ৪৫ মিনিটের সময় হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত অবস্থায় এনএসআই উপপরিচালক হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হন। ১০টা ৪২ মিনিটে তিনি মারা যান।
নিহতের মেয়ে আবিদা তাসকিন ঐশী জানান, সাতক্ষীরার কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলার বেনাদনা গ্রামে তাদের পৈত্রিক বাড়ি। তবে রাজধানীতে জানাজা শেষে তাকে মোহাম্মদপুরস্থ কবরস্থানে দাফনের পারিবারিক সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে।
এদিকে এনএসআই কর্মকর্তার আকস্মিক মৃত্যুর খবরে তাৎক্ষণিক হাসপাতালে ছুটে যান ফেনী-২ আসনের সাংসদ নিজাম উদ্দিন হাজারী। এসময় তিনি দাফন-কাফনের ১০ লাখ টাকার অনুদান দিয়েছেন। এছাড়া জেলা প্রশাসক আবু সেলিম মাহমুদ উল হাসান, পুলিশ সুপার খোন্দকার নুরুন্নবীসহ জেলার বিভিন্ন স্তরের সরকারি কর্মকর্তা ও রাজনৈতিক নেতারা তাকে শেষ বারেরমত দেখতে ছুটে যান।
