র্যাব-৫, জয়পুরহাট ক্যাম্প কর্তৃক নিয়মিত অভিযান পরিচালনা করে ১০০’শ পিস ট্যাপেন্টাডল ট্যাবলেটসহ ০১ জন মাদক
ব্যবসায়ী গ্রেফতার করেছে।
র্যাব-৫, সিপিসি-৩, জয়পুরহাট র্যাব ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানী কমান্ডার লেফটেন্যান্ট কমান্ডার রুহ্-ফি-তাহমিন তৌকির এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানান- আজ ২০ জুলাই ২০২১ ইং তারিখ সন্ধ্যা ৬ টা ৪০ ঘটিকায় জয়পুরহাট জেলার কালাই থানাধীন মাত্রাই সরকারী প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় মাঠের উত্তর পার্শ্বে শিশু পার্ক হতে অভিযান পরিচালনা করে ১০০ (একশত) পিস টাপেন্টাডল ট্যাবলেটসহ ১ জন মাদক কারবারিকে গ্রেফতার করে।
গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীর নাম হোসাইন (২৪), পিতার নাম আঃ মজিদ, গ্রাম -ছত্রগ্রাম, থানা-কালাই, জেলা-জয়পুরহাটক বলেও জানান।
প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে জানা যায় যে, উক্ত ধৃত আসামী দীর্ঘদিন যাবৎ টাপেন্টাডল ট্যাবলেট অবৈধভাবে সংগ্রহ করে
জয়পুরহাট জেলার বিভিন্ন স্থানে মাদকসেবী ও মাদক কারবারীদের নিকট সরবরাহ করে আসছিল।
পরবর্তীতে গ্রেফতারকৃত আসামীর বিরুদ্ধে জয়পুরহাট জেলার কালাই থানায়মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইন-২০১৮ আইন অনুযায়ী,মামলা দিয়ে আসামি হস্তান্তর করা হয়।
