করোনা ভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ বেড়ে যাওয়ায় সরকার ঘোষিত বিধি-নিষেধ বাস্তবায়নে সমগ্র জয়পুরহাট জেলায় জেলা প্রশাসন সহ যৌথ বাহিনী শহরে মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনা করে। মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনাকালে ৪৭ টি মামলায় ৪৭ জন ব্যক্তিকে আইন অমান্য করায় ও স্বাস্থ্যবিধি না মানায় মোট ২৭,৫০০/- টাকা অর্থদন্ড প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
জেলা প্রশাসনের তথ্য মতে গত ১ সপ্তাহে জয়পুরহাট জেলায় সর্বমোট ১৯৬টি মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনা করা হয়। মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনাকালে ৫৫০টি মামলায় ৫৫০ জন ব্যক্তিকে আইন অমান্য করায় ও স্বাস্থ্যবিধি না মানায় মোট ৩,৭৮,৬০০/- টাকা অর্থদন্ড প্রদান করা হয়েছে এবং ০১ জন ব্যক্তিকে ০৩ দিনের কারাদন্ড প্রদান করা হয়েছে।
এসময় মোবাইল কোর্ট পরিচালনায় জেলা পুলিশ, সেনাবাহিনী, বিজিবি, র্যাব ও আনসার বাহিনীর সদস্যগণ সহায়তা করেন।
এছাড়াও, জেলা প্রশাসনের বিজ্ঞ এক্সিকিউটিভ ম্যাজিস্ট্রেটগণের যথাযথ আইনানুগ নির্দেশনায় আইন-শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী নিয়মিত টহল অব্যাহত রেখেছেন।
