র্যাব-৫, সিপিসি-৩, জয়পুরহাট র্যাব ক্যাম্পের কোম্পানী অধিনায়ক লেঃ কমান্ডার তৌকির এক প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানান- গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে গতকাল ৫ আগষ্ট সকাল সাড়ে ৯ টায় জয়পুরহাট জেলার সদর থানাধীন গৌরিপাড়া এলাকায় অভিযান পরিচালনা করে-ফেন্সিডিল-৪৯ বোতল,মটর সাইকেল-১টি, মোবাইল-১ টিসহ ২ জন মাদক ব্যবসায়ীকে হাতেনাতে আটক করে।
আটককৃত মাদক কারবারিরা হলো, শাওন (৩০), পিতা-আকরাম, সাং- গৌরিপাড়া এবং সোহরাব (২৬), পিতা- নুরুল, সাং-নতুনহাট সরদারপাড়া, উভয় থানা- সদর, জেলা- জয়পুরহাট।
অপর দিকে,একই দিন রাত ৮ টা ১০ এ জয়পুরহাট জেলার সদর থানাধীন বিশ্বাসপাড়া সুইপার পট্টি কালীমন্দিরের আশপাশ এলাকা হতে ৬ জন মাদকসেবীকে মাদকসেবন রত অবস্থায় আটক করে জয়পুরহাট র্যাব ক্যাম্প।
মাদকসেবিরা হচ্ছে- সোহানুর আলম সোহান (১৯), পিতা-আলমগীর হোসেন, বাইজিদ হোসেন (২১),পিতা-আল মামুন, উভয় সাং-বিশ্বাসপাড়া। সুনিল রবি দাশ (৫৮), পিতা-মৃত রামচন্দ্র রবি দাশ, সাং-কাশিয়াবাড়ি কবিরাজপাড়া,মিনারুল ইসলাম (৩৫), পিতা- জামাল হোসেন, সাং-মাদারগঞ্জ। এবংসুলতান মাহমুদ (২৪), পিতা-বাবলু মিয়া,জনি হোসেন (২০), পিতা- মোহাতাব হোসেন, উভয় সাং- সুন্দরপুর, সর্ব থানা- জয়পুরহাট সদর, জেলা- জয়পুরহাট।
জয়পুরহাট জেলার সদর থানায় মাদকদ্রব্য নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইন-২০১৮ অনুসারে ৬ জন মাদকসেবি এবং জুয়া আইনে ২ জন জুয়াড়ির বিরুদ্ধে মামলা দায়ের করা হয়েছে।
