কক্সবাজার সদরের ঈদগাঁওতে ইভটিজিংয়ের বিরুদ্বে প্রতিবাদ করায় আপন দুই সহোদয়ের উপর হামলার ঘটনা ঘটেছে।
২৪ জুন সকাল ৯টার দিকে ঈদগাঁও ইউনিয়নের পূর্ব চাঁন্দেরঘোনার ব্যবসায়ী বেলাল উদ্দিন এবং সাদ্দাম হোসেন ইভটিজিংয়ের প্রতিবাদ করলেই হামলার শিকার হন। এতে বেলালের হাঁটুও কানে আঘাত প্রাপ্ত হন।
জানা যায়, স্থানীয় শাহ জব্বারিয়া আদর্শ দাখিল মাদ্রাসার শিক্ষার্থী,বেলালের কন্যাকে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে বাড়ীতে বা কোচিং কালীন সময়ে নানাভাবে ইভটিজিং করে আসছে এলাকার এক দু:চরিত্রা যুবক। উক্ত দিন সকালে এরই প্রতিবাদ করলে মেয়ের দাদীকে মারধর করতে এগিয়ে আসে ইভ টিজিংকারী।বিষয়টি ছেলেদ্বয়ের কানে পৌছলে প্রতিবাদ করতে এগিয়ে যান তারা। এক পর্যায়ে হামলার শিকার হন দুই ভাই।
আহত ব্যবসায়ী বেলালের সাথে কথা হলে তিনি জানান, মেয়েকে বাড়ীতে বা কোচিংয়ে যাওয়ার সময় ইভটিজিং করে যাচ্ছে কতিপয় এই যুবক। তার বিরুদ্বে প্রতিবাদ করায় আমাদের উপর হামলা করা হয়। হুমকি ধুমকিও দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।
মাদ্রাসা সুপার মনছুর আলম বিগত দেড় বছর পূর্বে ইভটিজিংয়ের বিষয়ে মাদ্রাসায় সামাজিক ভাবে বসে মিমাংসাও হয়েছিল বলেও জানায়।
স্থানীয় মেম্বার মিজানুর রহমান মুহসিন ঘটনাটি শুনেছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন।
