“ভূমি সেবা ডিজিটাল, বদলে যাচ্ছে দিনকাল” এ স্লোগানকে সামনে রেখে সারা দেশের ন্যায় শেরপুরের শ্রীবরদীতে ভূমি সেবা সপ্তাহ উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে। রবিবার দুপুরে (৬ জুন) উপজেলা ভূমি অফিসের আয়োজনে অফিস চত্বরে ভূমি সেবা সপ্তাহ উদ্বোধন করা হয়।
ভূমি উন্নয়ন কর আদায়ের লক্ষে সপ্তাহব্যাপী ওয়ানস্টপ ভূমি সেবা প্রদান কার্যক্রম উদ্বোধন করেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার নিলুফা আক্তার। এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন সহকারি কমিশনার (ভূমি) আতাউর রহমান, উপজেলা একাডেমিক সুপারভাইজার মোশারফ হোসেন, প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়ন কর্মকর্তা জিয়াউর রহমান, উপজেলা খাদ্য নিয়ন্ত্রক কর্মকর্তা সোহানা বিলকিছ, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা আব্দুল্লাহ ছালেহ, গণমাধ্যমকর্মী সহ উপজেলা ও ইউনিয়ন ভূমি অফিসের কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীবৃন্দ।
উল্লেখ্য সরকার ঘোষিত ডিজিটাল বাংলাদেশ বিনির্মাণে ভূমি সেবা গ্রহীতাদেরকে স্বল্প ব্যয়ে, স্বল্প সময়ে ও সহজ সেবা প্রদানের জন্য ৬ জুন থেকে ১০ জুন পর্যন্ত উপজেলা ভূমি অফিস প্রাঙ্গণে ভূমি উন্নয়ন কর আদায়ের সকল ধরনের সেবা কার্যক্রম অব্যাহত থাকবে। এছাড়াও শেরপুর জেলা প্রশাসকের পক্ষ থেকে প্রত্যেক দিন ভূমি উন্নয়ন কর পরিশোধকারী প্রথম ৫ জনকে ফলজ গাছ উপহার দেওয়া হবে।
